INTERNATIONAL JOINT CONFERENCE (IJC 2023)

THEME: OVERCOMING ADVERSITY WITH DIGITAL RESILIENCE

INTRODUCTION

This conference join two main conferences which are “INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
ON MATHEMATICS, STATISTICS AND COMPUTING TECHNOLOGY (ICMSCT2023)”
and “INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON GOVERNANCE, MANAGEMENT AND
SOCIAL INNOVATION (ICGMSI2023)” are effort of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM)
Kelantan Branch with Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). The conference aims to gather
academicians and researchers from related fields to meet and share their ideas, knowledge
and innovations. These multi-conferences are organized together to provide opportunity to
researchers and practitioners from industry to share their research findings and build various
research collaborations at international level. It also gives an add-value to participants to
join and share their experience in the conference.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

ICMSCT2019 and ICGMSI2019 lay several important objectives as follows:


i. Provide a platform for academicians from public and private universities whether
local or international to present their research works.
ii. Bring local/international researchers and practitioners from the industry to share
new and related works with academicians.
iii. Build mutual collaboration among academicians, researchers and practitioners as
a research culture in bringing potential research to the highest level.

ICGMST

Prof Dr Markus Westner, OTH Regensburg, Germany

Prof. Dr Markus Westner is a professor for information systems at OTH


Regensburg, a Technical University for Applied Sciences. He is
currently the Deputy Dean of Study Affairs at the university and holds a
responsibility as the International Coordinator at Faculty of Computer
Science and Mathematics. His research interests include IT-Strategy,
IT-Governance, IT-Organization, IT-Sourcing (IT-Outsourcing, IT-
Offshoring, IT-Backsourcing), Business-managed IT/Shadow IT,
Management Consulting and Teaching Didactics.

As a prominent figure in these fields, he was appointed as Associate


Editor for Information and Management and has held responsibilities as a track chair at
various conferences. In addition to this, he acted as a reviewer for the Americas Conference
on Information Systems (AMCIS), Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS),
Business & Information Systems Engineering (BISE), Communications of the AIS (CAIS),
European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS), Information & Management (InfMan),
Information Systems Management (ISM), Journal of Information Technology Theory and
Application (JITTA), Journal of Cloud Computing, HMD Praxis der Wirtschaftsinformatik, and
Organizacija.
ICGMSI

Prof Dr, Marc Meyer, Northeastern University, USA

Professor Meyer was co-founder of VenturCom (which became


Ardence and was acquired by Citrix), a leader in real-time process
control and automation software. He has also been part of the
startup teams for Phase2 Sotware Corporation (a distributed
database applications developer), and Intervista Software (a 3D
worlds developer acquired by Platinum Software), and Sentillion
(single sign-on for health care, acquired by Microsoft). He has
consulted in a number of industries in the area of new product
strategy and platform management with companies that include
IBM, Hewlett Packard, McKesson, P&G, Mars Incorporated, and
BAE Systems.

Professor Meyer is widely published in the field of product, service, and business model
innovation and has worked with industry leaders in computing, industrial products, and
consumer products around the world. He has also taken a leadership role in developing new
methods for teaching entrepreneurship and has helped numerous students start their own
ventures. Dr. Meyer is the founder of D’Amore-McKim School of Business’ Entrepreneurship
and Innovation Group and Co-Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship Education, which
combines education, incubation, and launch into a single, experiential learning system for
undergraduate and graduate students from across the University, as well as alumni.
Professor Meyer is a member of the editorial board for the International Journal of Mass
Customization, the Journal of Product Innovation Management, and Associate Editor of the
Journal of the Academy of Business Education.

ICGMST

Dr Risman Adnan, Samsung, Indonesia

Dr Risman is an experienced corporate executive, scientist, engineer


and entrepreneur with a diverse background in software product
development, technology research, sales and marketing, drawing upon
more than 21 years of experience at global technology companies, as
well as startups and incubators in Indonesia. He bridges C-suite
strategy discussions with execution debates among product engineering
and marketing teams to build an operating culture focused on tech
innovation, customer focus, and agile delivery that drive business
values.

In his role leading Samsung R&D Indonesia (SRIN) operations, he


specializes in attracting and growing cross-functional R&D teams - of software engineers,
data engineers and scientists, product managers, UX designers and marketers, to rapidly
build innovative global services, drive business impacts, and build core R&D competencies
for long-term sustainability. Before joining SRIN, Risman served as Director in Microsoft
Indonesia, where he was instrumental in growing technology platform adoption, system
integrator partner ecosystem, developer community and startups incubation. Risman is a
well-known tech guru in Indonesia developer ecosystem. Outside his corporate role, he also
serves as leader of Indonesia AI ecosystem (IAIE) association and AI technology advisors
for digital startups and Kejora Venture.

ICGMSI

Dr Seo Kyoungwon, Seoultech Startup & Vice Provost of Seoul National University of
Science & Technology

Dr Seo Kyoungwon is an innovative interdisciplinary researcher with


deep expertise in Human-Computer Interaction, Artificial Intelligence
(AI), Learning Sciences and the capacity to create Virtual Reality (VR)
prototypes to test assumptions. His expertise is focused on “designing
AI-based Smart Education to enhance and augment learning and
teaching experiences” using machine learning methods and data
science skills. He has collaborated with industrial and academic
partners such as product designers (Microsoft), engineers (Hyundai Motor Company), and
medical doctors, to identify key AI technologies to solve their wicked problems.
