EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This case study tackles about things that Police Patrollers need to do and execute to

maintain peace and order .It also sum-up ideas on how they could exercise their duty

effectively to their assigned duty by giving them proper guidance while doing

enhancement program. It also talks about crime prevention with police services, while

linked to the number of officers on the streets, does not depend entirely on the visibility

of patrol officers. Community engagement, targeted initiatives, strategic use of

resources, and data-driven decision-making contribute to decreasing crime. It also

comprises what patrols should be perceived and promoted as an important component

of the department’s strategic operating plan. How they could establish focused areas for

the implementation of patrols.

INTRODUCTION

Police patrols play an important role in public service by responding to incidents,

deterring and preventing crimes. It can give a sense of security to people who need

protection and discourage those who may commit crimes in the absence of a patrol.

Police patrolling is an indispensable component and function of police departments. The

goals and objectives of police patrol include crime prevention, criminal apprehension,

law enforcement, order maintenance, public services, and traffic enforcement. However,

since police resources are limited, there is an understandable interest in patrol

strategies and operations that provide safety at minimum cost. And Police Patrol

provide for public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting

people and property, enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting good

community relations. Identify, pursue, and arrest suspects and perpetrators of criminal

acts.

BACKGROUND

Police patrol officers are the most influential and evident point persons for communal

growth in terms of peace and order. They may also look for prospects to cooperate with

the public circumstances. Patrol work, fundamentally requires the use of proper

authority to regulate and control peoples’ behavior. Equipment and new approaches

such as community policing, have some potential for reducing abuses of authority and

preventing criminality. Increasing police presence is not limited to random patrols at the

beat level. Increasing preventive police patrols has also been an significant component

in a number of involvements at smaller units

PROPOSED SOLUTIONS/RECOMMENDATION

In order to assure the Effectiveness of Police Patrol in Puntod Police station 5 in Crime

Prevention, given below must be considered:

 REQUEST FUNDS FROM THE GOVERNMENT

To aide them in their resources since they have shortage in resources.

 DECOY PATROL WITH ENFORCEMENT

To control a specific area that has many violators or crime that always happens.

 TEAM POLICING

By permanently assigning a group of police patrol in an area it will distinguish

violators and crime.

 DRONE

Drones can cover a large area easily, and they can be equipped with thermal

sensors. These make them effective in search and rescue operations.

Also be used to conduct surveillance, assist with traffic accident investigations,

survey natural disaster sites and more.

 BODY CAMERA

The ensuing footage brings a quicker resolution, improves officer safety, and

prevents crime.

 TASER

a weapon firing barbs attached by wires to batteries, causing temporary

paralysis.

 RADIO SCANNER

Is a radio receiver that can automatically tune, or scan, two or more discrete

frequencies, stopping when it finds a signal on one of them and then continuing

to scan other frequencies when the initial transmission ceases.
