EDF was seeking to introduce a new monitor to perform
simple but effective contamination controls, while being
compatible with the majority of probes available on the
market.

Improvements were made on survey meter DOM-420

developed with the French Army to provide a user-friendly
interface >> display redesign, embedded remote distance
sensors, visual & audio alarms, & a special algorithm for more
rapid source detection.

Designed to meet EDF requirements, survey meter SaphyRAD

E equips the 19 nuclear power plants currently in operation in
France.

Since 2017, Bertin delivered more than 1,000 Saphyrad E
