IELTS WRITING TEST-1

Task-1 6.5

There is an chart information of Japanese tourists travelling abroad since 1985 to 1995.
Also ,Australia’s share of Japan’s tourist market (represented by percentage.)

In the beginning of 85s, Japan’s tourists were 5 million , and 2 percentage of Japan tourists
were going to Australia. End of the 95s , Japan’s tourists were 15million , and 6 percentage of
people were going to Australia. It demonstrates that Japanese tourists still have interest on
Australia during these decades.

As you can see the graph of Japan, there is a little bit decrease in 1990-1991 . At this
moment, Australia’s share of Japan was constantly increasing. Which means , this down
didn’t affected Japan tourists who have will to travel to the Australia .

Nevertheless, there is a dramatic down on Australia’s share of Japan’s chart since 88s to 89s.
Additionally, amount of Japanese tourists travelling abroad were increasing during this time.
Therefore, In my opinion , on that moment any problem emerged between Japan and
Australia.

Model Answer 1:
The bar chart outlines how many Japanese travelled overseas between
1985 and 1995 while the line graph delineates1 the percentages of these
tourists who visited Australia in particular between 1985 and 1994.
Overall2, the number of Japanese who made overseas travels soared3 and
this is also true for the Australia visiting travelers from Japan.

As can be seen from the illustration, around 5 million Japanese citizens

travelled different countries in 1985 which kept on increasing each year
except in 1991. From approximately 7 million tourists in 1987, it went as
high as 12 million in just 6 years. Finally, in 1995, around 15 million
Japanese toured foreign countries which was three times higher than that
of a decade earlier.

The line graph shows that 2% Japanese tourists reached Australia in 1985
and with a steady4 increase this figure went as high as roughly 55% in
1988. The next year the ratio slightly 6dipped but went higher each year in
the subsequent years. Australia received more than 6% Japanese travellers
in 1993, the highest, which stood at exactly 6% in 1994.

Task-2 ( 5)

I’m agree with popular events like the football World cup and other international sporting
occasions are essential in easing international tensions and expressing patriotic emotions in a
safe way.

In my opinion , popular events includes a huge range of international people, which means a
lot of people will watch them. Those popular teams can be symbol of own nations. Because
they are accepted, they are proved to global. Then those respected people can make tension to
other countries official people .

The main reason is that popular global events can bound international relation such as
improve trust , substantiate diplomatic relation , demonstrate safe and diplomat relation to
other countries etc. Also , it can be way of release patriotic emotions in a safe way due to
happiness and peace of people who including those events. For example, during Olimpic
event every people bring their national flag , and cheerfully watch them. It can enhance the
trust between global people and government.

Sport events are sometimes dangerous , anyone can get injuries during the event , therefore it
is also can show trust for other countries. Additionaly , meet up and draw autograph to each
other are not a only way of easing international relation. All of people need to feel safety for
other countries , so international sporting occasions are essential way to express the trust and
diplomacy between countries.

In conculusion, during popular international events each countries prove they are safe and
ready to make diplomatic relation to other countries by their people.

It is believed that international events such as the Olympic

Games or football World Cup play a vital role in maintaining
world peace and to show nationalism in a proper7 way. To a
certain point, I would agree with the statement but some
fights among the supporters have been reported in past
venues.

On the one hand, it is true that events such as the World

Football Cup or the Commonwealth Games can be used as
a tool to maintain the world peace and to show patriotism
in a secure 8way. It can be seen that during international
tournaments, athletes from various nations are competing
against each other in a sportive way. Although their

countries of origin might be at war or conflict, they shake
hands and greet each other. And during these moments,
the sports people can show their nationalism by giving their
best effort9 in the games, since they are the representative
of their own countries.

On the other hand, although the tournaments positively

affect world peace, sometimes the athletes and the
supporters get carried away with their emotions. In certain
cases, several athletes had fought against each other
because they could not manage their temperament, and
the situation had triggered the supporters to fight against
each other as well. As a result, it caused some tensions
between countries as well. Therefore, many experts have
suggested that athletes should be given a proper
explanation about controlling their emotions during the
games because it could give negative effects to the
supporters and the relationship among nations.

In conclusion, it is undeniable that international sport &

games such as the European Football Cup or SEA Games
are an effective tool in easing the tensions among nations,
and to show the patriotism in the right way. I personally
agree with the statement, but I think it is also important for
the athletes to be trained about controlling their emotions.

Walking travel of England people increased by 18 miles , bicycle travel slightly decreased by
10 , miles of people travelling by driving car soared dramatically in 15 years. Furthermore,
on the one hand local bus travel went down by 155 miles , on the other hand long distance

slightly soared by average distance. Also , average distance in miles of other modes of
England people increased during these years .

that average distance of travelling improved very well in 15 years in England people.

The table data shows information about the type of transportation used by
the British between 1985 and 2000. As is presented in the table, using the
car was the most common way of travelling by English both in 1985 and
2000.

In 1985, more than 3,000 miles were travelled by an average British using
cars. It increased to well over 4,500 in the year 2000. The second most
common way of travelling was the local bus which was far less commonly
used than that cars. Over time, the use of local buses decreased, becoming

Task-2. 5.5

People divided by their believe that successful sports’ professionals can earn a great deal
more money than people in other important professions , and on the other hand , people
believe it is not fair.

Sport events like Olimpia , FIFA and respected professional athletics are affects for other
people’s opinions of sports and healthy life-style in a secure way. Furthermore, it can keep
tension between global countries. Therefore, it is undeniable that these people earn enough
fund from events or of their success.

Nevertheless , other important professions such as biochemical , mental-health ,

environmental etc are earning less money than sports professions. A lot of professions have
effect on our life. Recently we faced a virus that named covid-19 , it was dangerous for all of
us. While some professions made vaccine for it , if they weren’t a lot amount of people would
die. They discover new theories , and innovation to enhance global quality and safety.
Therefore , they are very vital people of per industry.

In my opinion , further enhancement of life safety and innovation of technology , health

industry is important for me. Even we have professional sport athletics we can’t face with
dangerous situation. Therefore , I’d prefer other important professions should get more
wages and moneys than successful sports professionals.

In conclusion , both of sports professionals and other professions of industries are important
of our life , nevertheless money and wages are key and motivation of employees of both
industry , so to keep important professions ,government or managers must give more money
to these people , it is unfair that sports professionals can earn more money.

Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Tiger woods are some famous sports
professionals who earn a great deal. The reason behind these great deals
is the constant media attention on them. However, it is true that they do
not contribute too much to a society like doctors and scientist.

Sports professionals who earn a great deal of money are the hard workers
in their respective field. They use all their efforts for the success of their
one and of their teams. The person with real talent in the field are very
few that is why they worth the deal. Even more, A player has a short
career and he is tested in that period with the massive competition on the
respective field. The pressure of media is intense and there is no privacy in
their life. So, this can also justify the huge earnings.

However, Sports professional does not contribute more to the society.

Other high profile professionals like doctors make a great contribution to
the society by treating sick and injured people. Furthermore, scientists who
work for the new invention and climate change also contribute more for
the society. If we favour these points then they must have a great deal of
money. However, the salary of sports professional is not determined by the
percentage they contribute to society.

Personally, I think the mega deal of money sports professional received is

more justified than the huge earnings of the movie stars. This also points
out the importance and value of sports than on other professions and
achievements.

Task-2. 5.5

Some people believe visitors from other countries should follow local tradition or customs.

Every countries’ custom and morals can differ from other cultures. Notwithstanding some
tourists or visitors break that customs , it will be valuable and creditable thing in the culture.
For instance , in Mongolia , people hate to throw milk or blood in the river. Japan people
believe that if you late from any event , you’re showing big disrespect to them. Indian people
restrict to eat beef due to their tradition etc. In the other words , if you’re breathing their air ,
you may breath with their customs.

In the other hand , some people disagree with above. They believe local people should
tolerate other visitor’s perspective and be open minded. In my opinion, they can exchange
their views and opinions. Every people has own experience and views. Therefore , there is no
need to adjust with other cultures or some customs. Nevertheless , visitors no doubtfully
should respect other cultures and behavior. Maybe, some misunderstanding event may lead to
big problem and argue . For example , some countries restrict to eat pork. If you asking for
pork from restaraunts , they will absolutely mad.
In conclusion , In my perspective , we should understand and comprehend other people’s
custom , and they should likewise. Especially tourists should research about the country’s
customs that they’re going to visit. In the other hand local people should tolerate with other
visitors’ behavior. All of us have different customs , so it is hard to adjust with others.
