may consider promoting Him/Her. But despite a struggle or despite a using different
means and the child still do not learned and meet the standard so there’s no way to

Ok this time of pandemic umh we are entertaining several times of problems who my
consider diversity’s, first their answer what struggling not because they do not
understand actually the lesson but because there are working why studying for those
cases we are giving consideration to those students but we do not just past
students in a certain subjects ahh umhh, without any, without any complaints from
their subjects meaning we are giving considerations however if the students are not
performing or does doesn’t mean or do not meet the Criteria order pass the subject
of course we will give them failing grades. (SH3-S8)
You identify first what do you mean promoting students, what do you mean by
promoting those struggle academically. Did I tell you yesterday that the
questionnaires are questionable. It's a long process, because you won't promote
them right away. You identify what are those things they are struggling about, so
possible they have to refer to the guidance councilor first. so are we pertaining
to what. Is it in their grades, how do they struggle, when they come in it's have
different way. In one subject only or with their teacher? But as a whole of course
you have to consider also the potential of the student, so if we are to promote
them definitely they are deserve .they deserve the grade that they have . That they
have or the grade that ah that was given to them. So you will not promote the
students if the students don’t deserve too. If that is the case, it will be a
problem again. So if we are talking about the consideration of course we have to,
right?. There are many factors because of that. High school is a different
approach, elementary is a different approach, college is a different approach. So
if considering of course we too. Because we cant just drop the child. We have to
encourage and motivate them to do well in their studies. In high school we will
regret the time spent by the students. If we can save the child for a year, we will
save it . so you cant just overthrow him, so that is our standard here. (SH4-S8)

Okay in the part of that the struggle all the burden that we encounter during the
pandemic. When it comes and equating our a lesson is that:
1. Struggle in internet connection.
2. When it comes to classroom management we had a lot of thinks to consider and
then the students as a lot of distraction, when we are in class there is something
we can't control other students. Some students are not struggling in online, thats
like learning style. Their are learning style not suited or what do you call that?
Ahm. There's a student that was not into the online distance learning. That, those
are some these are
some burdens that we experience during the online class that affect that quality of
teaching and at the same time the performance of the students. (SH1-S9)
2.Ok, so in your questionnaire, what do you think the pandemic brought a burden.
What do you mean about that.. possible it is what burden do you think the pandemic
brought to the learning system right ? which affected the students performance
in teacher quality of teaching. Our teachers is very resilient in high school. They
know what they are doing. We transitioned from face to face then to online classes.
They are also fully trained. They didn’t lose the same dedication, their
commitment, understanding and and compassion toward the students . so with that
maybe it ease out, of course the burden in emotionally and mentally.. in terms of
teaching, that was a bit of a burden in the pandemic. First of all we lost some
students although it was not drastic on our part that there were students who
transfer in public school and it not drastic. We are not really affected to that.
So we have to maintain our numbers because here we have a tuition fee of course we
have to maintain our numbers. So no problem on that, the students have many aspect.
So if we are talking to the students there are some students doesn’t have a a
connection in online. So thankfully they have either laptop, desktop or cellphone.
On the part of the teachers has no problem. They are very resilient.
Now the students really need the initiative and motivation of the students to be
able to finish the whole school year. Because there are those who really drop. But
the teacher need to support the student so that all there is no socialization on
the part of the student. The teachers have work from home so we don’t see each
other often. Cause of burden is printing the number of submissions for DEPED. So
its a different case we have a lot of paper works because we have to compile
everything.
So when it comes to burden and when it comes to the learning system, the education
will be weaken because the students result to cheating maybe they didn’t think that
we weren’t the one’s to benefit but they were. They need to study do we need to
persuade them to just attend the class ? No. but high school teacher are already
doing that because its a part on the DEPED memo. So if you are absent from the
class, the teacher will talk to you. If they cant contact you, the parent will be
contact and if the two of you cant contact I’ll asked the teacher to do home
visitation. What is your course ? oh BEED In elementary your opponent is the
parents in high school the students have some horns so that what will happen. They
do cutting classes, cases like that still need a home visitation by the teacher. I
don’t know for elementary if they do a home visitation but for high school , it was
a requirement that you cant leave your students out of class. You have to explain
also at the end of the school year if he doesn't have what will happen to the
students, that's it. That is only a burden in term of connectivity even though
here we have provided from teachers. One teacher one classroom one router but still
problem the connection, so there are times really no connection. Like yesterday no
connection all day it came back until we got home there has no connection so there
are still such cases so maybe that's the burden, of course the gadget that will
be used because the teachers also provided for themselves what do they need like
laptop and headset like that. There are no socialization we don’t have rapport. The
teacher will talk and talk and they didn’t know if the students are listening or

I think for me, repetition is better than mass promotion, although before is
nothing, during our time. in our time when the child did not learn to read they
would return to Grade1. If we consider the repetition the students maybe able. The
gap they have is what they have to learn, so it looks like there are fridges, The
meaning is that the ones they didn't know before they will know and assent’s that
over and over again, so Instead of promotion because he was already promoted but he
has nothing to retain on her, something like that. So I think better too the

Definitely yes, if the child really do not meet a standard You must not pass
him/her. But if the child meets standard definitely he will passed. (SH2-S10)
It depends when we say repetition meaning you are plucking or failing the students,
as much as possible I discourage teachers to failed students, why if a teacher
found that the, that a students, that difficulty in dealing with a subject at a
very earlier time the teacher make do something. what’s that interventions,
remidiansion, that’s why a I’ve been a teacher I’ve been a classroom teacher for a
more than student 20 years but a, I didn't fail a single student, why if in case
failing a subject the fault actually part of a students but on the part of the
teacher what did you do as q teacher because you’re a your prime role as a teacher
is to teach, meaning if a student failed you did not succeed in teaching the
student as I told you I been a classroom teacher for more than 20 years but I did
not fails a single students because I am doing remediation, I am doing innervation
imagine we have 4th quarter what did you do in the first quarter, anything the
first quarter you found out the students is a slow learner do something do not o
give the students an activity that is equivalent to does but who are fast because
you adjust for the students, mag adjust ka para kaya in order past the subject okay

I think for me the best solution for that is the students will under to
remediation. For us here in SRC we have students that we can't catch we carelineces
or we have a part because it's like reading because we developed there is a
remediation that says and then we keep on following up. The parents and at the same
time because of our setup. somehow we will still monitor the academic performance
student. For we have Interaction so we can still check if the students performance
to mean well in his studies, so that is even say that. online distance learning we
still monitor the students. (SH1-S11)
Yes actually a that have been solve a several years ago when we speak mass
promotion meaning even of the child does no how to read, does not no how to write
you will pass the child its not good what what will happen to the product of the
school at hope at faith if an ninety students and ill pass the subject for a
graduated then there is another a requirements from him to be a licenses engineer
what is that “board exam” How could a child or students or a graduate pass the
board exam if the child has been considered must be promoted, he didn't learn
anything, or go ahead like those who come from elementary we teacher in high school
actually because most of the sever graders those who don't know how to read can't
