EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We are entering the business because of our love of business and lifestyle. We need to carry out
our dream of owning and operating business. KABIR is a new and exciting company in
Bangladesh. KABIR from Augare providing fast and reliable broadband internet services to
residential and business customers across Bangladesh. KABIR is the creation of a new
technology called WiMAX could really change the internet experience for millions of people
worldwide. In this report, we tried to describe the operation and function of KABIR’s different
sales channel. We have plans to roll out as much network coverage as possible across
Bangladesh to capture the growing market by offering quality customer care and reliable
services. KABIR will soon be available right across Bangladesh; the service is currently
available in Dhaka and Chittagong. KABIR believes that everyone should be able to enjoy
trouble-free access to the internet and the world of opportunities that it brings. The company’s
aim is to make a magical internet experience available to everyone, every day, without
exception. So the company gathered a highly talented team right here in Bangladesh to build a
company that’s determined to improve the internet experience for millions of people – not just
here, but ultimately all over the world.
2.DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS
The name of our business is KABIR. It’s an internet service provider company in
Bangladesh. Internet is one of the most liberating, exciting features of life in the 21st century. In
a developing country like Bangladesh internet service is so necessary. By using KABIR anyone
can get into – music, news, views, video, information, chat and contact, research, for business,
pleasure or education. We think anyone should be able to enjoy uninterrupted access to it,
wherever they are, whenever they want.
We form our business as a partnership. At present there are four partners: Ismail Hossain,
Shaffat,Arif & Sajjad. We have one-fourth partnership. If we need more capital then we will
increase the number of partners. We are as like an entrepreneurial team consisting of four partners
who have an interest, both financial and otherwise, in and commitment to the venture’s future
and success; whose work is interdependent in the pursuit of common goals and venture success;
who are accountable to the entrepreneurial team and for the venture; who are considered to be at
the executive level with executive responsibility in the early phases of the venture, including
founding and pre-startup; and who are seen as a social entity by themselves.
Augare was established in 2007 by an experienced team of global telecoms executives with the
vision of delivering ‘broadband for all’. It’s committed to achieving this through the delivery of
fast, reliable broadband internet services in emerging markets using Wimax technology. Augere
has an established leadership team in place with experience in the telecommunications industry.

The Company successfully raised $125m in a first round of investment, New Silk Route and
Vedanta. The acquisition of spectrum and licenses is well underway. Augere currently has access
to spectrum in Bangladesh. This needs to be done properly. So the company gathered a highly
talented team right here in Bangladesh to build a company that’s determined to improve the
internet experience for millions of people – not just here, but ultimately all over Augere’s first
commercial network launched in the Bangladesh network in October 2016 under the brand name
KABIR. KABIR believes that everyone should be able to enjoy trouble-free access to the
internet and the world of opportunities that it brings. The company’s aim is to make a magical
internet experience available to everyone, every day, without exception.
KABIR is the creation of a group of global telecoms professionals who saw that a new
technology called WiMAX could really change the internet experience for millions of people
worldwide. WiMAX means that you don’t need telephone lines or cable to get connected; all you
need is to live close enough to a transmitter to receive the internet wirelessly. Currently the
company is busy building a network of base stations to offer their brand of internet access right
across Bangladesh. Initially KABIR is starting in Dhaka, but we have a quick plan to do the
same in cities nationwide.

PRICING:
Bangladesh revenue board of telecommunication has set up a price ceiling for WiMAX service
providers, so KABIR has to set the price within that price range. Different pricing strategies
followed by KABIR are
Value Based pricing: KABIR is following value based pricing. They consider the purchasing
power of their customers while deciding the price range. However they evaluate the speed and
maximum access which can be provided by them within that range and fix the price for every
segment.
Product line pricing: product line pricing is different price for different range, or different
service offered, their connections are shared connection, different package like sky and campus

have different price, as sky has no access limitation so it’s a bit higher in price, and for campus
speed and access limitation has cap on it so the price varies.
Currently for promotion and popularity they are offering free installation for every connection
they provide.

KABIR currently offers three high speed packages, but near future we hope that we will be able
with 3G packages. We hope there is something to suit every internet user. We are trying
something special something new.

4.MARKETING PLAN
Although KABIR is a new company with a small group of employees but we are keen to manage
our employees through HR practice. KABIR has the 4 layer distribution of employees. Currently
we have 130 enthusiastic employees to operate our company. The head of the company is CEO
and under him they have functional managers who are senior managers, managers, assistant
managers. Respectively senior executives and executive’s works under the functional managers.
Though these 4 layer human resource distributions KABIR create synergy between their
employees and make their collective effort much more effective. For recruitment employees
KABIR is using EN ROUTE recruitment agency and other some recruitment agencies to get
efficient employees
KABIR has exceptional expertise in the design, roll-out and delivery of telecoms networks in
emerging markets. KABIR’s strategy is to identify emerging market opportunities. KABIRA’s
selection criteria is based around sound business planning principles which identify markets
based on a number of key success defining factors such as population.
Competition is always on an entrepreneur’s or KABIR organization mind. At the moment a new
idea is conceived, one asks, “I wonder if anyone else is doing this.’’ And that question continues
to be asked as long as the business exists. In most instances, existing competitors can be
accurately identified. There are many commercial directories from where names can be found
out. But researching products is usually more difficult because inventors are unlikely to disclose
their ideas until they are ready to go commercial.
KABIR marketing team is working nicely. Marketing department has three sub departments.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
This department is responsible for find out the innovative features that can attract the existing
and potential customers. Product development is one of the key departments in the company.
While developing new packages and tariff plans this department has to keep in mind the profit
and cost issue. Under all these constraints the department has been producing exciting and new
features which ultimately attract customers. Product team always tries to come up with different
types of products by considering peoples need and wants. Product teams introduce Gigaset,
Dongle, for the customers. Gigaset has the power to capture the frequency more compare to
Dongle. So KABIR provides Gigaset where frequency is bit poor and Dongle for people who
want mobility. Product team design their product according to the customer wants.

BRANDING:
The brand department of the company deals with image of the brand to the customers. It
basically helps the brand to portray its intentioned image to the potential target group. This
department along with the Marketing Communication department deals with the promotional
activities. As KABIR is very new organization and WiMax is a very new concept that’s why
KABIR have to give too much effort and promotional activities to let the people know about
their product and services. Branding is another sub-department of marketing. Branding team is
trying to promote their KABIR product. They have organized different events to promote their
product. At first they do a campaign in different universities, which worked a lot. At present they
are not branding their product extensively but they have a plan for extensive branding. KABIR is
now giving advertises to different renowned news papers in Bangladesh and they are also giving
advertisement to the different website to promote their product. They also giving advertisement
in the Radio like Radio Amar, Radio Foorti etc.
CSR/PR:
KABIR has another sub department called CSR/PR department. Though they are not doing so
many CSR activities but they are planning to engage in CSR activities. KABIR does different
sorts of public relation activities to promote their product in the market which involves different
University campus campaign. They are offering campus package especially for the students and
they are arranging different campus campaign to sell their product. They are also arranging
different concerts to grab the attention of the customers
Sales KABIR sales and distribution team has five sub departments. These are

3. Tele Sales
4. Distributor
5. Retail Shop
Direct sales team handles the home users and SME. They try to make the product available to
the corporate and single or home users. In Dhaka city there is more than 50,000 SME. So
KABIR targeted those SME and the direct sales team works with those organizations.

There is a separate office for the manager of corporate sales who is also responsible for corporate
customer relations. Corporate customers are given high priority in terms of sales and also in
terms of after sales service. Of course this is due to the high usage and need for

with sales to corporate customers and maintenance of relations with both current clients as well
as scouting out potential new corporate clients, whereas the after sales service and other issues
are dealt with by the customer services operations section of the company.
Distributor makes sure that KABIR product is available in the market. They get commission on
modem and bandwidth price.
Tele sales team sale KABIR connection by making call to the potential customers. They have
some customer group from the business corporate world. For selling to those people they adopt
telemarketing approach KABIR is distributing their product through their own outlet and third
party. They have their own outlet in Gulshan 2 at Shamil Store and they are using Transcom as
third party to distribute their product. They have also given exclusive right to some computer
accessories selling company which are located in IDB to distribute their product.

Distribution & Coverage
KABIR have divided the regions they operate in into five polygons,

At present we are providing our service in Dhaka city, in these five polygons. KABIR’s target
was, at the end of the December we will have full Dhaka city coverage and at the same time we
will start our operations in Chittagong. We have kept our promise.
Initial Focus
KABIR just started their operation from December 05. We are new in this emerging industry. So
initially we are not going to give equal focus to every aspect of the business. For our business
KABIR initially want to give focus to two most important activities. One is “expansion of
coverage” and other one is to improve our “own process of service.”
Core competencies
Internet service is all about how speed we can provide to our customers. Capability to provide
high speedy wireless internet to customers is the main core competency of KABIR. Superior
24/7 customer service and greater network coverage are playing a vital role as their core
competencies.
5.COMPETITION
Potential customers – This is the most important source of market information. The KABIR
organization Communicate with potential customers. You may make use of a formal
questionnaire and conduct a market survey. Importance of marketing research: Once an
enterprise has been established, the question is no longer whether the product or service is

feasible, but whether the enterprise can reach its growth potential and compete effectively. Fresh
entrepreneurs make assumptions about customers, pricing, quality, image, product authorized,
style, packaging, etc.
For a part of promotion we offer some exceptional products. Such as: Cap, T-Shirt, Bag etc.
At presents all of our competitors have enabled 3G service to some of the areas of Dhaka City.
But their service is not so good. They can’t afford to provide uninterrupted service like us. It’s
our plus point. Our packages are also at low price rate. It’s another point. Our employers and IT
engineers always trying to give their best to ensure highly customer service. We are committed
to provide high speed internet across the whole country. Our mission is only giving internet
service. But another competitors are selling many of the products. So they are loosing their
market. Our technology is highly qualified and we are giving good service at the same time. We
are using advanced technology for providing high speed. We also giving free Wi-Fi service some
of the well renowned Campus. So we are clearly ahead from our competitors. Our innovative
idea will make a difference from our rival.

• People can share the bandwidth among multiple PCs using a Router or LAN. Just provide
our Installation Engineer on your router/ Switch LAN cable.

New Package Plan
All packages are in BDT. Additional charge of BDT 0.15/MB beyond usage allowance is
applicable in all packages except Sky. Figures in above table indicate monthly fee. For every
monthly package you will get total BDT 1000 off in your 3 months package fee.
KABIR should come up with TV advertisement as early as possible because as they are
launching new product in present market so their prime function to create consumers. Here
Television media has no alternatives. They may provide expert opinion (IT engineer) or
celebrity’s opinion through their advertisement. And of course they need to highlight the various
uses and benefits of using wireless broadband services.

LOCATION
Our location is situated in Polygon1-Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara, Bashundhara Polygon 2-
Uttara Polygon 3- Mirpur Polygon 4- Dhanmondi Polygon 5- Motijheel. We have divided into
five sector so that we be will able to serve our customer more efficiently. In a commercial area
so many social networking are required as a result our modem will solve all the requirement. We
have spread our service to home based customer, retailer, commercial area everywhere that
possible.
We use high quality raw materials imported from Germany. Highly precise module imported
from Germany. Then it is adapted in our own company. We made our factory in Gazipur. We
complete here the processing of the product. Rest of the product that we can’t made here, we
make it by famous company of China. From here we can easily transport our company made
product and imported product. Our own company suppliers moves the product around the whole
country. Dhaka is too near from Gazipur so business is more easy from here. This company have

MANAGEMENT
The KABIR modem internet service is one distinct customer group on which a business will
concentrate its efforts. A tiny, small market segment, also called a market niche, keenly focuses
an entrepreneur’s efforts on product characteristics, pricing, promotions, and channels of
distribution related to that specific customer group. Companies try to establish segmentation
strategies so that efficient use of resources can be achieved internet business. Every niche will
have characteristics defined partially by the customer and partially by location. Some of these
characteristics are:
