CHAPTER SUMMARY
• Emotion is an acute disturbance of the organism, as a whole psychological in
origin involving behavior, conscious experience and visceral functioning. Stress
as a nonspecific response of the body to any demand made upon it. Human’s
ability to adapt physically depends on his or her psychological adaptation.
Therefore coping strategies are designed to defend against or manage unpleasant
emotions associated with stress. Attitude is a general enduring positive or
negative feeling about some person, object or situation. Various factors such as
hereditary, peers, school, family, society and cultural traditions interact with each
other to form well defined attitude.
