    Mental Maths:
    Multiplying Mixed Numbers of Identical Fractions

    STRATEGY
    Step 1: To find the whole number of the answer,
    8 + 6 = 14 [add the two whole numbers]
    14 ÷ 2 = 7 [divide the sum by the denominator]
    7 + (8 × 6) = 7 + 48 = 55 [add the result to the product of the two whole numbers]

    Step 2: To find the fraction of the answer,
