    Mental Maths:
    Division – Remainder When Divided by 9

    Find the remainder when 9478 ÷ 9.

    STRATEGY
    9 + 4 + 7 + 8 = 28 [add all the four digits of the number]
    2 + 8 = 10 [continue to add until it becomes a single digit]
    1+0=1
    The remainder when 9478 ÷ 9 is 1.
