II. Session Outline

Session Title: " EMPOWERING ADVOCACY FOR DRUG PREVENTION”

Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:


Objectives: a) Analyze the societal impact of drug abuse and explore
strategies for advocating change.
b) Engage in role playing activities to practice advocacy skills.
c) Reflect on their personal values and motivations for advocating
drug prevention.
Key Concepts:  Personal Values: Individual beliefs and principles that guide
behavior and decision making.
 Motivation: Factors that drive individuals to advocate for drug
prevention, such as personal experience or societal concerns.

highlighting relevance to advocacy for drug prevention.

brainstorm potential advocacy action response.

Activity: Presentation on Advocacy Strategies


Present a slideshow discussing effective advocacy
strategies, including raising awareness,
Valuing/Wrap-up community organizing and policy advocacy.

Q&A Session:
Allow students to ask questions and engage in
moderate discussions.

Reflective Journal 10 mins Activity: Group Discussion:
