Homework
Now that Juan has been living in England for five years he (0) is used to doing (do) things
differently, but it hasn’t always been the case. When he first moved there he couldn’t (1) get
used to having (have) lunch at 1pm, so he often (2) used to cook (cook) for himself in his
flat and eat at 3pm, as his family does in Spain. Even now I don’t think he (3) get used to
eating (eat) English food, because when he comes home to Madrid, he buys Spanish
‘delicacies’ to take back with him. I remember how he (4) used to wirte (write) to me and
complain about the shop closing times. It took him a long time to (5) get used to not be (be)
able to buy anything after about five o’clock. Most shops in Spain close at eight or nine in the
evening. He bought an English car a year ago, so he should (6) get used to driving (drive) on
the left by now. I wonder if he’ll ever be able to (7) get used to driving (drive) on the right
again when, or if, he comes back to live in Spain!

Hi Mark,
I think you heard that I moved from my house, in another part of my country. Yes, it’s a
shame, because in a old house, I used to get out of bed at 9 o’clock and in my new house I
can do this, because my school it’s not next my house, but it’s beautiful in comparison with
my old house. Here it’s quite and aren’t a lot of cars. I can say that I used to here, even was
hard get used to do this. I think I will be happy here with my parents with my brother and
with my sister, which she was used to.
I hope, you are very happy, and don’t forget: You are my friend forever.
Have a nice day and be happy!

I think you heard that i moved from my house in another part of my country. Yes, it's a shame
because in an old house I used to get out of bed at 9:00 o'clock and in my new house, this
time I don’t live next to my school and I have to wake up early to be in time for my first
class. Still, I like my new house more than my old one, but it’s beautiful in comparison with
my old house.
I can say that I got used to living here even if it was hard to do this. I think, I will be happy
here with my parents, with my brother and with my sister who is used now with the life here.
I hope you are very happy and don’t forget: you are my friend, forever.
