PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

I want every body read the meaning of Physical (students reading the slide)
Activity!
Physical activity can be defined as any
movement of the body that requires
energy expenditure. This includes any
motion you do through the day
excluding sitting still or lying down.
Example, walking to class, taking the
stairs, mowing the lawn, and even
cleaning your house can be considered
physical activity. Exercise is a type of
physical activity but not every physical
activity is exercise. Exercise is a
planned, structured, and repetitive
activity for the purpose of improving or
maintain physical fitness.

Give an example of Physical Activity

(every student giving example)

walking to class,
taking the stairs,
cleaning your house

D. Discussing new concepts and
practicing new skills #1
What are the 4 types of physical activity? (the student response base of what they
read in the slides)
1. Muscular Endurance
2. Flexibility Exercises
3. Cardiovascular Endurance
4 Muscular Strength
Give the meanings of the following 4 types of
physical activity.
(student response)

1. What is Muscular Endurance? Muscular endurance is the ability of a

muscle or group of muscles to perform
repetitive contractions against a force
for an extended period of time. The
greater your muscular endurance the
higher number of repetitions you could
complete.
2. What is Flexibility Exercises
Flexibility refers to the ability of
muscles, joints, and soft tissues to
move through an unrestricted, pain-
free range of motion. It involves the
capacity of these structures to stretch,
lengthen, and contract without
limitations, allowing for smooth and
efficient movement.
3. What is Cardiovascular Endurance
Cardiovascular endurance is a measure
of how well you can do exercises that
involve your whole body at moderate to
high intensity for an extended time.
Improving your cardiovascular
endurance can make it easier for you to
carry out your daily tasks. It can also
lessen your risk of diseases such as
diabetes, heart disease, and stroke.
4. What is Muscular Strength
Muscular strength is the amount of force
you can put out or the amount of weight
you can lift.
E. Discussing New concept and Group this class into three and think how to
practicing new skills#2 answer the game “ACTING MO, HULA KO”,
one of them will act with the group what kind of
physical activity their participant does, while
the others predict the correct answer to his
acting.

Mechanics: Group 1. Wall Climbing

 Each Group are given 1 minute. Group 2. Standing Squad
 Within 1 minute learners must answer the Group 3. Toe Touches
correct word.
