by inhalation and skin contact. May cause an allergic reaction, especially in case of pre-existing
sensitivity to similar substances, such as, other cephalosporins or penicillins and carbapenems. May be
harmful to the environment.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If breathing becomes difficult, call a physician.

Eye: Assure adequate flushing by separating the eyelids with fingers. Flush with copious amounts of
water for at least 15 minutes.

Skin: Flush with copious amounts of water and soap for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated
clothing and shoes.
Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water and administer fresh water provided that the person is conscious.
General First Aid Procedures: In case of reactions described in hazards identification or other severe,
immediate or persisting symptoms seek medical advice and call the nearest poison centre. Show the
label and this safety data sheet.
Overdose Treatment: For current information about the treatment of overdose, consult a certified
Regional Poison Control Center by calling the number listed in your local telephone directory.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Extinguisher Media: Water spray. Carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder or appropriate foam. Avoid
spills into drains, surface- and groundwater and soil.
Fire and Explosion Hazards: This material is assumed to be combustible. As with all dry powders it is
advisable to ground mechanical equipment in contact with dry material to dissipate the potential buildup
of static electricity.
Firefighting Procedures: As with all fires, evacuate personnel to a safe area. Firefighters should use
self-contained breathing equipment and protective clothing.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Spill Response: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus, rubber boots and heavy rubber gloves.
Switch off souces of ignition and intense heat. Collect residues manually, remove by wiping with
water/detergent solution until residues have been removed, place in a bag and hold for waste disposal.
Avoid raising dust or mist. Ventilate area and wash spill site with water/detergent solution after
materialpick up is complete. Keep away from drains, surface- and groundwater and soil.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling: Avoid inhalation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid prolonged or repeated
exposure.
Storage: Store in tight container. This material should be handled and stored per label instructions to
ensure product integrity.
