    Package CP104 Manufacturing Quality Plan for Tunnel Segment Production

    2.0 Demoulding Each segment is to be marked according to the shop drawing segment numbering as per
    and marking of Amended Clause of the Technical Specification. The amended statement mentioned
    segments below.
    All tunnel segments delivered on site shall bear indelible markings placed on the inner
    surface of all segments as described below. Any segment without marking or unreadable
    marking, for whatever reason, shall not be used in the works. The markings must in no way
    compromise any requirement of this specification, i.e., concrete cover or water proofing.
    The minimum information on the marking shall include the following:
    (a) Internal Diameter by engraving;
    (b) Type of segment by engraving:
    A: standard/ordinary;
    B: top (B shall be segments to opposite end of the K segment);
    K: key (K shall be inserted in longitudinal direction between Bs);
    T: for tapered ring;
    R/L: for right or left turning curve segments;
    For tapered rings, each segment type shall be marked at each end to ensure the segments
    shall be built in the correct position, sequence and orientation
    (c) Bolt location mark by engraving;
    (d) Project Name by engraving;
    (e) Mark of the Manufacturer by printing;
    (f) A client identification code by printing;
    (g) Date of Casting and mark with not less than 50mm high identifying the casting with the
    appropriate sample by printing;
    (h) And other information the Engineer may require.
