1.Introduction
1.1Background
his report covers all of the site visits at AL-SAM real estate and provides an overview of the
methods used to create the ground as well as buildings 30 and 32. It also explains the estimation
of weights, technical terms used during construction, and the types of materials and actions used
to meet building standards.
Properties of AL-SAM: This gorgeous 21-story apartment complex with 360 units for sale in the
center of Mexico City is presently under construction. It is located behind the AL-SAM Chelelik
building and spans four blocks. In addition to having floorplans with two or three bedrooms,
these contemporary homes feature lovely rooftop garden terraces with some of the best city
views. Surrounded by nearly nine thousand square meters of residential commercial space, the
apartment complex and the neighborhood are served by a supermarket, café, restaurant, gym,
clinic, and bank. There is a more than 2,500 m2 shared garden on the 21st level. We had the
opportunity to take a tour of the recently constructed real estate building close to Lideta. Since
there were two building sites to visit, we had the chance to see both of them. There was still
much to be done, even if the construction was only getting underway. For example, there were a
lot of piles to be driven beneath the deeply excavated dirt, and site two required the excavation of
three layers of soil.

1.2Objectives of site visit

1.2.1.General objective
To understand the benefits and applications of piling foundations and to gain a greater
understanding of the theoretical language's practical application in actual construction projects to
be well-versed in the installation procedure for piling foundations, which are built to withstand
massive loads.
1.2.2.Specific objectives
to distinguish between the numerous kinds of piling foundations and to understand their
terminology, forms, and structural designs in addition to their applicability, user experience,
safety, and security.

1.3Scope of the visit

The owner, AL-SAM Properties, who is now constructing a deep foundation 30 meters below
ground, was the main focus of the site visit. The construction process starts with site inspection
and consultation, moves forward with installing piles into the earth, and concludes with safety

1
measures such as building retaining walls, shoring, and anchoring to surround the construction
area.

2.Procedures
 We visited two different sites where the building's substructure was being worked on, as
the previous paragraphs have indicated. The first site was supervised by engineers
Getasew and Melaku, and it was smaller overall. During this visitation session, we
learned about the two types of piles that foundation specialists constructed in 2012. These
include
Shoring pile
Foundation pile

2.1.Shoring pile
When constructing a building, shoring is often used for the foundation. A shoring system
consisting of piles, lags, or shotcrete will maintain the surrounding loads until the subterranean
floors of the project are completed. Often used shoring equipment includes timber jacks, shoring
beams, and post shores.
Shoring is used to support a structure in order to prevent it from collapsing. The most common
shoring techniques we observed were applied throughout the building process' excavation stage.
Shoring serves as support for a deep excavation to prevent retained dirt from overturning and
consequent project accidents.

2.2.Foundation pile

A pile foundation is a series of columns that are constructed or buried to transfer loads to a lower
level of subsurface. A pile is a long, robust cylinder composed of concrete or another strong
material. Pile drives are pushed into the ground to sustain constructions erected on top of them
steadily.
Because we have transferable sound rock, we chose end bearing.
Basic procedures taken ;
1- Site investigation
2- Design
3- survey and check site balance
After those process are done the following things continue ;
 Excavation work
 Construction on rebar cages and adding concrete spacer
 Use ready mix concrete
 Slump test

2
 Concrete cast using trimming pipe

3.Techniques and material used in construction

In essence, the contractors used a number of techniques, but the most successful was anchoring,
which prevented the soil from collapsing during shoring and excavation.

3.1.Anchoring
Anchoring is a construction technique that involves employing grout-filled steel casings to
anchor walls with large amounts of overburden to the solid rock. Large masses can be secured to
the bedrock with this.
Additionally these materials were used to construct the overall anchoring process.
 Drilling machine; foundation drilling is a process that involves using a drill rig to bore a
large hole deep into the ground in order to insert structure such as pile that are used to
build a foundation for a construction project.
 Trimming pipes; rigidly supporting weight, side, and thrust stresses, a pipe anchor
support fully stops pipe movement in all three dimensions. At the site of application, it is
intended to virtually prohibit any pipe rotation or displacement.
 Inclined drilling plate; to resist active force we give back passive force
 Strands; have high tensile strength and enter through the drilled hole
 Stress machine; connects the shoring and anchorage by connecting wedge or plate
 Shot Crete’s ;retains the soil after all the shoring is done
 Weep plate; used as drainage hoes for the purpose of removing of water

4.Conclusion
We have successfully achieved bothe our general and specific objectives by understanding the
benefits and applications of piling foundations and understand the theoretical language's practical
application in actual construction projects. As well as distinguishing between the kinds of piling
foundations and to understand their terminology, forms, and structural designs in addition to
their applicability, user experience, safety, and security. Specially about shoring pile.
