Today I will present you some Maha Manthras and sidhi manthrs from the Valmiki Ramayan Which

are still and forever most powerful.

1. The first one is from Ayodhya Kanda, where Lord Rama was about to leave for vanavaas and
went to meet his mother Kaushlya. Then Kaushlya has given a raksha kavach to Ram &
Lakshman in three slokas. Sage Valmike says that these three slokas most powerful and still
can recite these slokas for their kids safety at any time.

En Manglam Sahsraakshe, sarvadeva namskruthe, Vruthraase Sama bhavathadde,

Bhavathu Mangalam.

When Lord Indra went to kill Vritrasura, his mother Aditi bestowed upon him divine
protection in the form of a powerful armor and earrings, wishing for auspiciousness to
accompany him on his mission. I wish you such auspiciousness may bestow upon you
always.

En Mangalam suparnasya vinutha kalpayathpura Amrutham Prarthayaanasya Thadde

Bhavathu Mangalam. Amrithothpaadane Daithyaan Ghnatho Vajra Dharasya yeth adithir
mangalam praadaapth thadde bhavathu mangalam.

May you always be blessed with the same auspiciousness that Garuda received from his
mother Vinata when he set out for heaven to retrieve the pot of nectar.

During the time of the churning of the ocean for amritham, what kind of auspiciousness did
the gods grant to the king of the gods, Indra? May such auspiciousness always be with you.

Threen vikramaan paraakramatho vishno ravi sa thejasaha yedaaseen mangalam raama

Thadde Bhavathu Mangalam.

When Emperor Bali, who ruled all three worlds, offered charity in the form of three steps of
land to Lord Vishnu in His Vamana avatar, and Lord Vishnu, in His Trivikrama form, grew to
encompass the universe, what kind of auspiciousness did the whole world offer Him, May
such auspiciousness always be with you.
2. In Sundarakaanda, Hanuman after finding Seethamaatha and relaxing her with the great
news that Rama will be coming here soon to take Seethamaatha back, he felt so confident.
Till now He searched all over Ravana Lanka being in a size of small pussy cat. However now,
he shifted to a warrior mood. He thought that the biggest work of meeting Seethamaatha is
done and now its time to meet Raavana as a Raama Dootha and warn him.

What is the best way to approach him :

Saamam will not be useful with Raavana as he will not have the habbit of listening to good
words.
Daanam also will not be useful as this Raavana is having what ever he needed.
Bhedam also won’t be the right way as if I start fighting with his troops then It may take a
very long time to see Raavana.
The left out and the fourth one is Dandopaayam. If I destroy any thing which is most liked by
Raavana, then I can get a chance to see him immediately. Then I can meet him and tell him
some good words as a raama dootha. If he changes his mind, then that is good for him. This
could be his last chance.

So He has decided to destroy this Asokavanam. He has increased his physical body and
started destroying all the trees except Sisupa tree under which Seethamaatha is sitting. He
demolished all the beautifully constructed bridges, fountains etc., He sat on a thoranam and
started chanting Jaya Manthram as follows. He started killing all the demons who ever tries
to attack him. He again sits on the thoranam and recites the jaya mantham again and again.

జయత్యతిబలో రామో లక్ష్మణశ్చ మహాబలః

రాజా జయతి సుగ్రీవో రాఘవేణాభిపాలితః ।

దాసోహం కోసలేంద్రస్య రామస్యాక్లిష్టకర్మణః

హనుమాన్ శత్రు సైన్యానాం నిహంతా మారుతాత్మజః ॥

న రావణ సహస్రం మే యుద్ధే ప్రతిబలం భవేత్

శిలాభిస్తు ప్రహరతః పాదపైశ్చ సహస్రశః ।

అర్ధయిత్వా పురీం లంకామభివాద్య చ మైథిలీం

సమృద్ధా ర్ధో గమిష్యామి మిషతాం సర్వరక్షసామ్

Victorious and mighty are Rama and Lakshmana,

King Sugriva triumphs, protected by Raghava.
I am the humble servant of Kosala's lord Rama,
Hanuman, the son of the wind, destroyer of enemy armies.

Even thousand Ravanas, in battle with me, will not find an equal force,
As I strike with rocks and trees by the thousands.
After half-destroying Lanka and paying respects to Maithili,
I will return, having accomplished my mission against all demons.

This jaya manthram is a siddhi manthram. This is in 42 nd sarga of Sundaraa kaanda. By

Chanting this manthra regularly it can bless us with full protection and make us most
powerful physically and mentally as well. As we all are aware that each and every sound
waves will carry different energy levels. This jaya manthram is composed in a way that
whenever it is chanted, the surrounded nature will take instructions to protect the one who
is chanting and bless him with full of positive energy.
So it is good for kids to practice daily to chant. All with the grace of our Sage Valmiki, we can
have these opportunities. We are always so thankful to Sage Valmiki and Ramayana till the
time this human era continues in this world.
3. Sidhi Manthram :
In Yudhakaanda, Lakshmana has ensured win over the most dangerous demon, who
defeated Lord Indra even, the son of Raavana, Meghanaatha by chanting a sidhi manthram.
This manthram is called as sidhi manthram because even now this manthra can bestow us all
the success by chanting it with a great belief towards Ramachandra.

If Rama, who is righteous, truthful, and the delight of his father Dasaratha, is without an
equal in strength and valour, then defeat Ravana completely.

This Sidhi Manthra also can provide great protection along with the best victory. There
are so many Rama Bhakthas and Hanuman Bhakthas who are practicing the chanting of
this siddhi manthra regularly and surviving in this world without any hurdles in their life.
There could be hurdles however, they can’t disturb you, and they will not affect you just
because of practice of regular chanting of said sidhi manthra.
4. The fourth one is Aadithya Hridayam. In ramayanam, in the mid of war Land, Aadithya
Hridayam has taken born. Aadithya means the son of Adithi is The Sun.
How did Arjuna attain the state of despondency, similarly, Rama also plunged into intense
sorrow in the midst of the battle. He also got tired and he was deeply thinking that how to
complete this war. He even got doubt that whether he could kill this Raavana or not. He
went into deep depression.

One who went into such depression, his mind stops thinking further. It ensures that you will
accept the defeat soon. Now, By knowing this, we should never allow ourselves to shift to
such depression mood.

Then how to tune us by ourselves. No worries. Our Itihaasaas has given the solutions very
well. Just you need to believe in them and follow them. You can see drastic results just like a
miracle.

In Mahabharatha, Lord Krishna has counselled Arjuna and here Agasthya Maharshi came to
war land to counsel Lord Rama and energise him to win over Raavana in the war.

Lord Rama has obtained so many asthras and sasthras from sages like Viswamithra,
Agasthya, Athri etc., Sage Valmiki has not obtained us all those things in Valmiki ramayan.
However, he has given Aadithya Hridayam which is equivalent to all the sasthras and asthras
that are in the Lord Rama’s quiver. He has given us Aadithya Hrudayam in 31 slokas in which
each and every sloka is most powerful.

Even in puttaparthi, Sathya Sai schools, it is instructed by Bhagavan Sathya sSai that every
student has to recite Aadithya Hridayam on a daily basis. There are so many miracle stories
happening with those students still.

The structure of Aadithya Hridayam :

The first sloka is about how Agasthya has arrived the war land
Then the next 9 slokas depicts about different rituals
Then the next 9 slokas swaroopa vivarana
Then the remaining 12 slokas are talks about phalasidhi

Summarised Explanation :
Agasthya Maharshi has clearly informs us when to chant this Aadithya Hridayam in the
second part of first nine slokas.

Kaanthaareshu cha bhayeshu cha

If you are in deep forest, if you are with great fear, if you are about to face any obstacle,
anytme, any one, there are no restrictions can chant Aadithy Hridayam. There is no need to
recall the image of God Sun as he will be above your head all the day. incase of chanting any
other god means, you may need to recall the image of that God in dhyanam. If you are
already in depression state, it won’t be possible to focus and chant your ishtadaivam.
Moreover we even follow certain rituals in order to chant such beejaksharaas.
However, with Aadithy Hridayam, you need not to worry about all those formalities.
There are certain names of Sun in the Aadithya Hridayam, like Bhaskara who can bless us
with health. As we disuccsed earlier the sound waves while chanting will create an energy
with in us.

Agasthya Maharshi asked Lord Rama to chant ths manthra three times before he proceed
further in mid of the war. Lord Rama followed those instructions and no doubt after which
how soon he had ensured win over Raavana in the war.

It is required to teach our kids to recite everyday these manthras and ensure their
protection even one fine day in our absence as well. We are so blessed to have all these in
our itihaasas and let’s get benefitted with the blessings of these manthras.
