Please answer the following questions to the best of your ability

Questions1: Describe the process of the water cycle?

1.Evaporation : The sun heats up water from oceans, rivers which rises into the sky.

2. Condensation: As the water rises, it cools down and forms clouds in the sky.

3. Precipitation: When the clouds get heavy with water, they release it as rain, snow, sleet, or
hail.

4.Runoff and Infiltration: The precipitation either flows over the land as runoff, eventually making
its way back to the oceans, or it soaks into the ground, replenishing underground water sources.

5.Transpiration: Plants absorb water from the soil through their roots and release it into the air
through tiny pores in their leaves.

Questions 2 :Describe the process of the formation of Earthquakes?

Answer : An sudden release of energy from the Earth's crust causes earthquakes. The earth
shaking as a result of this energy release. It typically happens near faults, which are crustal
cracks in the Earth. An earthquake is caused when the stress along these faults eventually gets
too great and the rocks break. Imagine it as if you were bending a stick till it broke. The shaking
we experience during an earthquake is caused by the energy released, which moves through
the Earth in waves.

Questions 3

What is the main factor that affects climate and causes climate change?

Answer:The main cause of climate change is the buildup of greenhouse gasses, mostly carbon
dioxide (CO2) from human activities like burning fossil fuels (such as coal, oil, and natural gas),
deforestation, and industrial processes, in the Earth's atmosphere. These gasses cause the
atmosphere to retain heat, which causes changes in weather patterns and global warming,
which ultimately lead to climate change.

For extra marks answer the following question

Explain the phenomena of Green Houses Gases.

Answer:The Earth's atmosphere contains chemicals known as greenhouse gasses (GHGs),

which have the capacity to trap solar heat and produce the greenhouse effect. Maintaining the
Earth's surface temperature at a level that allows life as we know it to exist depends on this
effect. Carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and water vapor (H2O) are
the main greenhouse gasses.

1. The Earth's surface warms as sunlight reaches it.

2. The Earth absorbs a portion of this heat energy and reradiates it as infrared radiation, or heat.
3. Part of this infrared radiation is absorbed by greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere, which
traps heat and keeps it from escaping into space.
4. The Earth's surface and lower atmosphere are warmed by this trapped heat, maintaining
temperatures that are favorable for
