This is a contractual based requirement for tentatively 50 teacher trainers and the tenure of posting
to Sri Lanka shall be for about 3 months (90 days) from the month of 1st July 2024 to 30th Sept
2024 Dates are indicative in nature, and may change as per requirements at the time of signing of
the contract. The trainers will be deployed for the following classes and locations:
• Class Level: 10th- TGT Teachers (O level) & 12th- PGT Teachers (A level) teacher trainers
• Locations:
o Kandy and Matale
o NuwareEliya
o Ratnapura and Kegalle
o Badulla
The selected candidates shall be training the TGT and PGT teachers in Sri Lanka in the respective
subject matter, curriculum, pedagogy, instructional strategies, classroom management, educational
technologies, etc.

QUALIFICATION & ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The educational qualification & eligibility for the trainers will be as follows:
§ Maximum age limit of 65 Years as on 5th March 2024 (date of publishing of advertisement).
§ Physically fit with no medical conditions that may impede delivery of services during the
term of contract. A fitness certificate from an authorised medical officer should be furnished
towards proof of physical fitness.
§ The cut-off date for determining various applicable eligibility criteria (Educational
Qualifications, Age Limit, Experience etc.) will be 5th March 2024 (date of publishing of
advertisement).
(i) The trainers shall be paid a fixed remuneration of INR 1,25,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Twenty-
Five Thousand only) per month from the date of joining. Remuneration shall be paid in
Indian currency only.
(ii) Medical and Travel Insurance will be provided to the trainers in addition to the above
monthly remuneration.
(iii) Accommodation and local transport for travel to the training centre from accommodation at
Sri Lanka will be provided.
(iv) Airfare shall be provided to the trainers selected for deployment to and from travel to Sri
Lanka. Selected candidates shall also be provided assistance for the Sri Lanka visa for the
duration of the project.

iii. Candidates are required to have a valid personal email ID. It should be kept active during
the period of this recruitment. All the details/information regarding the recruitment process
shall be shared with the candidates through their registered email ID only.
iv. The name of the candidate, date of birth and his/ her Parents’ name etc. should be spelt
correctly in the application as it appears in the Class X (Matriculation/SSC) certificates/
mark sheets. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
v. Carefully fill in the complete details in online application form. Scan and upload your recent
photograph and signature at the appropriate places as per instructions contained in the
online application format and submit the same. Login id and password will be sent through
e-mail on registration. Candidates are requested to keep the same till completion of all the
steps for successful submission of application and for future records.
vi. The application printout with photograph affixed will also have to be submitted during
document verification at the time of interview along with the original self-attested copies of
certificates in support of Age, Qualification, Experience, etc. as applicable.
vii. Before starting to fill the online application, keep the following
details/documents/information ready with you:
b. Work experience certificates with last pay drawn clearly mentioning the joining date
and relieving date in the letter head of the organisation. In case of currently working
organisation, candidates are required to bring in the joining letter along with last 3
months’ salary slips;
c. Voter-ID/Adhaar/PAN as ID-proof;
d. Passport with minimum 6 months validity (it may be noted that a valid Indian
passport is mandatory to travel to Sri Lanka);
e. Updated resume;
f. The size of the certificates should be minimum 100 kb and maximum 500 kb and the
format should be pdf/jpg/jpeg only;
• Scanned copy of signature with black ink pen (in jpg/jpeg format);

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
(i) The appointment posted here is of contractual nature and the tenure is for about 90 days
(3 months). In no case shall the candidate be considered for a permanent position in
EdCIL / MEA / Sri Lankan Government.
(ii) Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for the above posts.
(iii) The vacancies and tenure indicated above are tentative and subject to change.
(iv) EdCIL will not enter into any correspondence with the candidates about their candidature.
(v) EdCIL may take up the verification of eligibility of the candidate at any point of time prior to
or after the completion of the selection process. EdCIL reserves the right to call for any
additional documentary evidence in support of Qualification, Experience, etc. of the
applicants.
(vi) In case any ambiguity / dispute arise on account of interpretation in versions other
than English, the English Version will prevail.
(vii) Any dispute with regard to this recruitment shall be subject to the court having its
jurisdiction in Delhi only.
(viii) The candidates applying for the recruitment process should ensure that they fulfil all
eligibility conditions for selection. Their admission at all the stages of the process will be
purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility condition(s).
(ix) Selection process will be through Interview. Mere issue of interview call letter to the
candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared.
(xii) No modifications are allowed after candidate submits the online application form. If any
discrepancies are found between the data filled by the candidate online and the original
testimonials, his candidature is liable to be rejected. Hence, no request for change in
particulars of any candidate shall be entertained at a later stage.
(xiii) The candidates working in Government organizations are required to submit No Objection
Certificate (NOC)at the time of document verification/ interview, if shortlisted.
(xiv) Incomplete application in any respect shall be rejected and no further correspondence
shall be entertained. In addition, no other means/mode of submission of application shall
be accepted under any circumstances.

Candidate’s email ID should be valid till the recruitment process is over. Candidates are
also requested to check the spam folder in their inbox from time-to-time.
(xvii) In case of any problems faced by the candidates in filling up the online application form,

(xviii) Candidates in their own interest are advised, not to wait till the last date & time to apply.
They should register well before the time for last date of submission of applications.
(xix) The candidate is liable to be disqualified from the recruitment process and debarred either
permanently or for a specified period, at any stage of recruitment on account of the
following:
c) Obtaining support for his/her candidature by any means, such candidate in addition
to rendering himself/herself liable to criminal prosecution; or
(xx) Only shortlisted candidates will be informed about the venue and date of interview via
their registered email IDs. Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for interview
tentatively at Chennai. The actual date and venue of the interview shall eb shared with
shortlisted candidates. All original documents/certificate should be produced at the time
of interview for verification. No conveyance shall be provided for travel with regards to the
interview.
(xxi) Request for change of Interview date / venue will NOT be entertained under any
circumstances.
(xxii) Merely satisfying the eligibility norms does not entitle a candidate to be called for
interview. EdCIL reserves the right to call only the requisite number of candidates for the
interview after preliminary screening/ short-listing with reference to candidate’s
qualification, suitability, experience etc.
(xxiii) Candidates shortlisted for the interview will receive the training modules and curriculum of
Sri Lanka schools and will have to prepare from the same for the interview. The interview
committee may focus to test the candidate’s preparedness vis-à-vis the syllabus /
curriculum.
(xxiv) The training to be imparted in Sri Lanka will cover the subjects and curriculum, pedagogy
and instructional strategies, classroom management, educational technologies, education
psychology, etc.
