CINDERELLA

Once upon a time, a girl named Cinderella lived with her stepmother and two stepsisters. Cinderella
had to do all the housework while her stepsisters laughed at her and called her names. One day, the king
and queen decided to hold a ball for their son, the prince, to find a wife. All the young ladies in the land
were invited, but Cinderella's stepmother and stepsisters laughed at the idea of her going.
Cinderella was left at home, but her Fairy Godmother appeared and transformed her into a
beautiful lady with a beautiful gown and a carriage to take her to the ball. The Fairy Godmother
warned her that the magic would only last until midnight. At the ball, the prince was
enchanted by Cinderella and they danced all evening. However, as the clock struck
midnight, Cinderella had to rush home, leaving behind a glass slipper.
The prince found the slipper and declared that he would marry the woman whose
foot fit the slipper. He tried the slipper on all the young ladies in the land, and finally, it
fit Cinderella. Despite her stepmother and stepsisters' protests, the prince recognized
Cinderella from the ball. They were married and lived happily ever after.
