    When midnight came, Cinderella had

    The prince went from house to house, looking for the girl who's foot fit
    the slipper, and he reached Cinderella's house. Though Cinderella's
    stepsisters and stepmother tried to keep her from trying it on, the glass
    slipper was a perfect fit, and she was soon married to the prince and
    lived happily ever after.
    THE FULL STORY

    CINDERELLA
    Once upon a time, there was a simple and beautiful girl named
    Cinderella. She lived with her evil stepmother and two stepsisters. The
    stepmother did not like her and made her do all the household work. Her
    stepsisters just never had to work, they just roamed around the house in
    their fancy dresses. They always made fun of Cinderella because of her
    plain dressing.
    One day, the king decided to throw a ball and invited all the young
    maidens in the kingdom. While Cinderella's sisters made her help them
    get ready for the ball, not once did they ask her if she would like to go
    with them.

    When they left, her Fairy Godmother appeared and helped Cinderella go
    to the ball with a bit of magic that would only last until midnight. At the
    ball, Cinderella caught the eye of the prince, as she was the most
    beautiful girl there, and they danced all night.
    When midnight came, Cinderella had to leave the ball, and in
    her hurry, one of her glass slippers fell off her feet. The
    prince found this slipper and vowed to marry the girl who the
    slipper belonged to.

    Dahulu kala, ada seorang gadis sederhana dan cantik bernama Cinderella.
    Dia tinggal bersama ibu tirinya yang jahat dan dua saudara tirinya. Ibu
    tirinya tidak menyukainya dan membuatnya melakukan semua pekerjaan
    rumah tangga. Saudara-saudaranya hanya duduk dan bermain di
    sekeliling rumah dengan gaun-gaun mewah mereka. Mereka selalu
    mencemooh Cinderella karena cara berpakaiannya yang sederhana.
    Pada suatu hari, raja memutuskan untuk mengadakan pesta dansa dan
    mengundang semua gadis muda di kerajaan. Sementara saudara-saudara
    Cinderella meminta bantuan dari Cinderella untuk bersiap-siap ke pesta,
    mereka tidak satu kali pun bertanya apakah Cinderella ingin ikut bersama
    mereka.

    Ketika mereka pergi, Dewi peri Cinderella muncul dan membantu Cinderella
    pergi ke pesta dengan sedikit sihir yang hanya akan bertahan hingga tengah
    malam. Di pesta dansa, Cinderella menarik perhatian pangeran, karena dia
    adalah gadis paling cantik di sana, dan mereka berdansa sepanjang malam.
    Ketika tengah malam tiba, Cinderella harus meninggalkan pesta, dan
    dalam keburuannya, salah satu sepatu kaca miliknya terjatuh dari
    kakinya. Pangeran menemukan sepatu ini dan bersumpah akan
    menikahi gadis yang sepatu itu miliknya.

    Pangeran itu pergi dari rumah ke rumah, mencari gadis yang kakinya
    cocok dengan sepatu kaca, dan ia tiba di rumah Cinderella. Meskipun
    saudara tiri dan ibu tiri Cinderella mencoba menghalanginya untuk
    mencobanya, sepatu kaca tersebut pas dengan sempurna, dan segera
    mereka menikah dan hidup bahagia selamanya. Ini adalah cerita yang
    indah yang menggambarkan betapa memiliki sikap rendah hati akan
    mendatangkan imbalannya.
