As a student, why is learning about basic anatomy important? What do you think are the
advantages of having anatomical knowledge in movements, exercises and injuries?
To know about the structure and function of the human body can help individuals make
informed decisions about their own health and well-being. Also for better understanding bodily
function and how both structure and function are modified by several diseases. However, the
advantages of having anatomical knowledge in movements, exercises and injuries are by
knowing how the body really works, selecting different kinds of exercises that target your goal
muscles. It can also improve and enhance joint mobility and stability, and improve movement
quality and efficiency. Anatomy knowledge also allows you to modify exercises according to
your individual needs, preferences, and limitations, and to progress or regress them as you
improve or face challenges. Anatomical knowledge helps humans to learn several ways of
training and exercises avoiding injuries. It makes a person have a better understanding and
comprehension of how the human body works and anticipate making movements that can injure
limbs.
