Note: Vehicles operating in dusty conditions will benefit the most from this additional maintenance
item and potential for the MAF DTC’s being logged.
PROCEDURE:
Tools Required:
• Compressed Air - Pressure 0.4 ~ 1 MPa. (58 ~ 145 Psi).
Note: Pressure higher than 1 MPa can result in damage to the MAF Sensor.
• Air Gun.
•10 mm Socket and Ratchet.
•Torque wrench suitable for 6.5 Nm.

2. Raise the top section of Air Cleaner Assy and
rotate to gain good access to the MAF
Sensor.
Exit Hole
Note: Do Not Remove MAF sensor from air cleaner
top section.

5. Direct air gun nozzle to achieve 0° angle of air
entering MAF Sensor.
Air Direction 0°
CAUTION: Do not insert the air gun directly into the
Sub Bypass Holes.
