Background of the Study
In a review directed by Taha et al. ( 2023), This paper examines the impact
of technology on learning, highlighting its role in shaping performance and
effectiveness. It emphasizes the interaction between humans and technology, as
well as the design of educational tools. The research suggests optimizing
technology's role in promoting effective learning experiences, emphasizing the
importance of learning outcomes in course design. The findings provide valuable
insights for educators, policymakers, and stakeholders.
Finally, Nina et al. (2018) delved into a discussion surrounding the seven
principles of good practice in undergraduate education and how technology can be
effectively integrated to cater to the learning patterns of digital natives. The study
identified various cost-effective technologies and tools, such as PowToon,
Educreation, PollEverywhere, and Kahoot, which can be utilized to enhance student
engagement and feedback within the learning process. To assess the impact of
technology integration on academic performance and student satisfaction, the
authors conducted a quasi-experimental study, aiming to align teaching styles with
the specific needs and preferences of digital natives. Through this study, the authors
aimed to provide educators with valuable insights and strategies for effectively
integrating technology into their teaching practices to cater to the unique learning
patterns of digital natives.
Methodology
Research Design
Research Locale
This study will be conducted at the Naval School of Fisheries S.Y. 2023-2024,
with the participation of Grade 12 Senior High School Students from the academic
track STEM and ABM as respondents.
Research Participants
The participants of this study will be the randomly sampled grade 12 students
from the two (2) academic tracks STEM and ABM of the Naval School of Fisheries.
Research Instrument
Consent forms will be issued to the respondents and then recovered following
approval of the research project. After then, the participants will receive the surveys.
In order to ensure an objective data collection, the researchers will watch while the
students respond to the aforementioned questions.
Data Scoring
The following 4-likert scale and mean values will be used to analyze the
impact of technology on students' academic performance and track in transforming
fear of failure into motivated reinforcement.
