Potential Acute Health Effects:
Hazardous in case of skin contact (permeator), of eye contact (irritant), of ingestion, of inhalation. Slightly hazardous in case of skin
contact (irritant).
3. COMPOSITION
COMPOSITION:
Toxicological Data on Ingredients: Triethanolamine: ORAL (LD50): Acute: 2200 mg/kg [Guinea pig]. 5846 mg/kg [Mouse]. 2200
mg/kg [Rabbit].
Skin Contact:
Inhalation:
If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical
attention.
Ingestion:
Do NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband. Get medical attention if symptoms appear.
Flash Points: CLOSED CUP: 179.44°C (355°F). OPEN CUP: 190.5°C (374.9°F) (Cleveland).
Large Spill:
If the product is in its solid form: Use a shovel to put the material into a convenient waste disposal container. If the product is in its
liquid form: Absorb with an inert material and put the spilled material in an appropriate waste disposal. Neutralize the residue with a
dilute solution of acetic acid. Finish cleaning by spreading water on the contaminated surface and allow to evacuate through the
sanitary system. Be careful that the product is not present at a concentration level above TLV. Check TLV on the MSDS and with
local authorities.
Personal precautions
No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. Evacuate surrounding areas. Keep unnecessary and
unprotected personnel from entering. Do not touch or walk through spilled material. Avoid breathing vapor or mist. Provide
Storage
Store in accordance with local regulations. Store in original container protected from direct sunlight in a dry, cool and well-
ventilated area, away from incompatible materials (see section 10) and food and drink. Keep container tightly closed and sealed until
ready for use. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Do not store in
unlabeled containers. Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental contamination.
Precautions:
Keep locked up.. Keep away from heat. Keep away from sources of ignition. Empty containers pose a fire risk, evaporate the residue
under a fume hood. Ground all equipment containing material. Do not ingest. Do not breathe gas/fumes/ vapor/ spray. Wear suitable
protective clothing. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. If ingested, seek medical advice
immediately and show the container or the label. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep away from incompatibles such as oxidizing
agents, reducing agents, organic materials, metals, acids.
Exposure limits
ACGIH TLV (United States, 2/2010).
TWA: 5 mg/m3 8 hour(s).
Engineering Controls:
Provide exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls to keep the airborne concentrations of vapors below their respective
threshold limit value. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are proximal to the work-station location.
Personal Protection:
Splash goggles. Lab coat. Vapor respirator. Be sure to use an approved/certified respirator or equivalent. Gloves.
Exposure Limits:
TWA: 5 from ACGIH (TLV) [United States] [2001] Consult local authorities for acceptable exposure limits.

Personal protective equipment for the body should be selected based on the task being performed and the risks involved and should
be approved by a specialist before handling this product.
Solubility:
Easily soluble in cold water, hot water. Soluble in methanol, acetone. Very slightly soluble in diethyl ether, n-octanol.
Corrosivity:
Corrosive in presence of steel, of aluminum, of zinc, of copper. Non-corrosive in presence of glass.
Products of Biodegradation:
Possibly hazardous short term degradation products are not likely. However, long term degradation products may arise.
Toxicity of the Products of Biodegradation: The product itself and its products of degradation are not toxic.
Other Regulations:
