    In the municipality of Kapangan in Benguet Province, the traditional system of mutual labor exchange called "Alluyon/Aduyon" is still practiced, where community members help each other with tasks. The local university has adopted the spirit of Alluyon to emphasize volunteerism.     In Kapangan they still practice the system


    called the mutual labour exchange which is
    what they called the Alluyon/Aduyon.

    Alluyon as a cultural frame has been


    adopted by the university to carry the
    same spirit, but this time
    emphasizing on “volunteerism.

    TRADITIONAL DANCE

    The Grand March


    -This dance is significant to the people of Kapangan
    especially during the 2nd World War when the
    American soldiers, the Igorot Guerrillas and with the
    support of the civilians headed by Majors Bado
    Dangwa and Dennis Molintas who stayed in Camp
    Utopia, 66th Infantry Headquarters at Liteng,
    Sagubo, Kapangan defending their territory.

    - It is also known because it is physically-challenging


    yet historical and fun.
