INTRODUCTION

1 PRESENTATION OF CATALOGUE
A General Information
This catalogue, written by EUROCOPTER, details the spare parts (or tools in the tools catalog)
necessary to maintain the helicopter. The helicopter configuration taken into account in this
catalogue corresponds to the configuration of the delivered helicopter.

The user will find the following spare parts:

- Removable parts (*) on maintenance levels 1 and 2

- Parts and assemblies mentioned in the Aircraft Maintenance Manuel.

It enables the user to:

- Order his spare parts

- Know the upgrade links between parts in the Numerical Index.

The Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC)/ Illustrated Tools Catalog (ITC) is updated once or twice
a year.

(*) The removable parts are package-jointed either with screws, removable bonding without
damaging the support, or with a few easily accessible rivets, often replaced due to the fragile
nature of their position.

4 DATA DESCRIPTION
The following examples are fictitious.

A DESCRIPTION OF THE DETAILED PART LIST

This chapter explains the various information in the Detailed part list and gives an illustrated
example for each explanation on a specific IPC/ITC page.

FIGURE / ITEM COLUMN (1)

The first line of this column shows the figure which illustrates the installation.

When the page is not large enough to illustrate the whole installation, one or several figures
are indicated immediately after the "basic figure". The figure numbers are the same but the
page numbers are incremental.

The following lines indicate the item numbers corresponding to the part illustrations.

The "DASH" (2) marked before the item number indicates that the part is not illustrated in the
figure.

Note 1 :Items are initially numbered in increments of 10. When a modification implies the
"ADDITION" of a part between two existing parts, this new part will be identified so that it may
be inserted between the other items. (3)

Note 2 :Some figures may be common to several IPC/ITC from the same family of helicopters.
In this case, the items only applicable for an IPC/ITC appear in the Detailed part list of this
IPC/ITC.

VENDOR CODE (FSCM ) COLUMN (4)

A code which makes it possible to find the address of the manufacturer or supplier is given for
all parts (see vendors list).

If the manufacturer has no code assigned, the temporary indication (CF...) (5) is employed
pending assignment of the final code.

MANUFACTURER PART NUMBER COLUMN (6)

This column lists the Manufacturer part numbers (or the Standard numbers).

(7) For indentation 1 assemblies or installations, the sign " - " preceding the part number
indicates that these assemblies or these installations are "SERIALIZED" and the sign " + "
indicates that they are "OPTIONAL" (see the explanation about these notions in chapter " 5.D
Understanding the validities ").

For other indentations, the sign " * " indicates that the part is " OVERSIZE " and the sign " =
" indicates that the part is an assembly consisting of "MATCHED PARTS". (no itemized
breakdown is listed for such assemblies).

When a "BLANK" (8) replaces the part number, this indicates that the relevant part does not
exist physically but is shown for the breakdown or grouping of detailed parts. This part cannot
be ordered.

DESCRIPTION COLUMN (9)

Additional information is provided below the part designation when necessary:

Validity (10)

The validity is mentioned below the designation of indentation 1 assemblies. The validity
indicates on which aircrafts (identified by their serial number S/N) the installation was initially
mounted upon delivery.

Example:

- 2395 - 2399

The installation is valid for helicopters S/N from and including 2395 to and including 2399.

- 2338 2348 2380

The installation is valid for helicopters S/N 2338, 2348, 2380.

- All helicopters

The installation is valid for all helicopters.

For more details, please refer to the chapter " 5.D Understanding the validities ".

Reference to the illustration of the detailed part

A reference to the detailed part illustration ("FOR DETAIL SEE chapt-sect-subject FIG. ") is
given below the description of the assembly or installation. (11)

Conversely, the reference to the next higher assembly ("FOR NHA SEE chapt-sect-subject FIG.
ITEM ") is given below the description of the subassembly when the latter is illustrated
separately. (12)

Attaching parts (13)

These parts are shown immediately below and at the same indentation as the part to be
attached (see chapter "3.B Principle of breakdown").

Modification number (14)

When a modification is the result of an official EUROCOPTER modification, the modification

number is given as follows: "AFTER AMENDMENT...".

In the ITC, the following indication is shown: "AFTER AMENDMENT AMO ... ". "AMO" means
Avis de Modification Outillage, it is an Eurocopter document describing how the tool is modified.

The link between detail parts and indentation 1 assemblies or installations (15)

In the case of several indentation 1 assemblies or installations, the applicability link between
the detailed parts and these assemblies or installations is stated below the description of the
part (" APPLIC. FOR NHA...").

Local manufacture

When a part normally supplied by the aircraft manufacturer can be manufactured by the
operator, the indication "ALM" (AUTHORIZED LOCAL MANUFACTURE) followed by "TO BE
TAKEN FROM" (16) detail the material required for its manufacturing.

If a part is not supplied by the aircraft manufacturer, the indication "MLM" (MANDATORY
LOCAL MANUFACTURE) followed by "TO BE TAKEN FROM" detail the material required for
its manufacturing.

Part with specific documentation (17)

The indication "WITH VENDOR DOC" is shown below the relevant part description.

QUANTITY PER ASSEMBLY COLUMN (18)

This column indicates the quantity of a component required for the next higher assembly.

When an indentation 1 assembly or an installation from another figure are listed for reference
purposes only, the letters REF are shown in this column. (19)

For parts whose quantity is "as required", the letters "AR" are shown in this column. (20)

NOTE 1 : SPECIFIC PART NUMBERS FOR "LOGISTIC" SPARES

You will find in the IPC/ITC several specific spare part numbers identified by the Eurocopter
reference followed by two additional characters set between 51 and 69 (and from 5A to 6Z). A
specific spare part is an assembly composed of a basic part adapted to a specific need. This
need can be one of 2 types:

- Addition of a tool for delivery

- Creation of a sub-assembly, adapted to a specific technical configuration.

In other words, this part number is procurable.

For example, the reference 332A24-0024-0551 is a tail boom assembly, onto which you can
mount specific equipment such as an antenna. You have to order this part number if it is valid
for your serial number (s).

NOTE 2 : MECHANICAL PART NUMBER SPECIFICS

A mechanical assembly has a 12-character part number. In the case where this assembly can
be modified either by optional equipment (e.g. a de-icing installation) or by a specific tool for
the delivery (e.g. a plug), the modified mechanical assembly part number will correspond to the
unmodified assembly part number followed by a letter (i.e. a 13-character part number).

Examples:

The tail gearbox - unmodified by an optional part or a tool- has the part number
332A33-0001-05.

Whereas the tail gearbox delivered with a specific tool (a plug) has the part number
332A33-0001-05M. Moreover, the optional de-icing installation can be mounted on several
helicopters. In order to distinguish the basic tail gearbox (of the helicopters WITHOUT de-icing
installation ) from those on helicopters WITH a de-icing installation, the first one will have the
part number 332A33-0001-05M whereas the second will have the part number
332A33-0001-05T.

You have to order the part number which is valid for your serial number (s).

Concerning the identification of the assembly in the official documents or on the assembly
itself, you will find the following information:

- Equipment Log Card: Part number (12 characters) and a letter if required+ NATO code (if
the customer requires)
- Assembly: the marking of the part number (12 characters) + letter (13th character) on the
assembly or on the labels attached to the assembly
- Certificate of Conformity (delivered with the spares): 12 or 13-character part number
- Illustrated Parts Catalogue: 12 or 13-character part number

Note : you will find this information in the Service Letter N˚ 1252-00-95

NOTE 3 : ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN VENDOR DOCUMENTATION

For equipment, you will find in the CMM (Component Maintenance Manual) a more detailed
breakdown than the IPC’s. Both manuals are complementary.

This index is sorted by the alphanumeric sequence of the manufacturer’s part numbers as
listed in the Detailed part list. Each part number is followed by a reference to the locations of
the mentioned part in the Detailed part list.

Note:

The index traces the history of part numbers which are in this manual or were in the former
revisions. Some parts may have been cancelled or replaced by other parts; in any case, their
part numbers are deleted in the index (see 5.B Understanding the updates).

MANUFACTURER PART NUMBER (1)

The part number (defined by the manufacturer or standardized) is indicated in this column.

Please refer to the chapter "5.C Understanding the interchangeability between parts" for the
explanations about the interchangeability links and "supersedes" / "superseded by" links. (2)

M/PN equivalent:

An equivalent part number is defined as a part that is functionally and physically

interchangeable with the basic part.

The equivalent part numbers are mentioned below and preceded by the mention "M/PN
EQUIVALENT(S)". (3)

Note :If a part number is mentioned at several CSN points, its equivalent part numbers are
only mentioned for the 1st CSN and are not repeated for any others.

NSN NUMBER (4)

This column indicates an optional specific number. If it is not known, 3 dashes appear (---). (5)

CHAPTER - SECTION - SUBJECT - FIGURE - ITEM (6)

This column indicates where this part number is located in the Detailed list by referring to
chapter/section/subject/figure/item page number.

QUANTITY (7)

This column indicates the total quantity of the part mounted on the helicopter (or of the tool)

B UNDERSTANDING THE UPDATES

This chapter explains the different types of modifications which may occur between two
revisions and the way they are indicated, both in the Detailed part list and the Index.

All the following examples are fictitious.

Note :The history of IPC/ITC evolutions is traced only in the Index , so when information
about former part numbers or links between different part numbers is needed, please refer to
the index.

Cancellation

When an item has been cancelled since the last revision, only the item number will remain,
the rest of the line is blank and a letter "D" is printed outside the frame (1). If this cancellation
is the result of an official Eurocopter modification, the amendment N˚ is entered in the
Description column (2). If the approved modification cancels several items of a section in the
same indentation column, the Mod N˚ will only appear against the 1st item on the list.

All item numbers will be deleted in the following revision.

In the Index, the letter "D" is entered in the margin at the level of the cancelled part number
(3). This letter will disappear in the next revision.

New part

In the Detailed part list, a letter "N" is printed outside the frame (4). If this new item is the
result of an official Eurocopter modification, the amendment N˚ is entered on the line of the
new item in the Description column (5).

In the index, the letter "N" (6) is entered in the margin.

Modification

In the Detailed part list, a letter "R" is printed outside the frame (7). If this amendment is the
result of an official Eurocopter modification, the amendment N˚ is entered on each line of the
Description of the item amended.

In the index, the letter "R" (8) is entered in the margin on the revised line.

C UNDERSTANDING THE INTERCHANGEABILITY BETWEEN PARTS

This chapter explains the different interchangeability cases which can occur when part numbers
are modified. When the interchangeability link between new and old part numbers is known,
the operator knows the part he can fit or the tool he can use on his helicopter.

All the following examples are fictitious.

(1) ONE-WAY INTERCHANGEABILITY

Definition:

The new part can be used instead of the former one, but the former part can not be
used instead of the new one.

Illustration:

The following illustration can be read in the Index:

- The former part number is followed by the mention "SUPERSEDED BY", itself followed
by the new part number. (1) (*)
- The new part number is followed by the mention "SUPERSEDES", itself followed by
the former part number. (2)

In the Detailed part list:

- The item of the new part is defined as a variant item of the former part (alphabetic
incrementation) ( 3).
(*) "superseded with adaptation by" if the new part can be used after a slight
modification.

(2) TWO-WAY INTERCHANGEABILITY

Definition:

The new part can be used instead of the former one and the former part can be used
instead of the new one. (full interchangeability)

Illustration:

The following illustration can be read in the Index:

- The former part number is followed by the mention "interchangeable with the new part
number", itself followed by the new part number. (1)
- The new part number is followed by the mention "interchangeable with the old part
number", itself followed by the former part number. (2)

In the Detailed part list, 2 cases are possible:

- Either only the new part number appears and there is not any change of item (3).
(mainly in the case of evolution of standardised parts)
- Or the item of the new part is defined as a variant item of the former part (alphabetic
incrementation) (4).

Note : Case of an equivalent part number

They are mentioned only in the Index.

See additional explanation in chapter "4.B Description of Index"

(3) NO INTERCHANGEABILITY

Definition:

The new part can not be used instead of the former one and the former part can not
be used instead of the new one.

Illustration:

The following illustration can be read in the Index:

- A line for the former part number

- Another line for the new part number

In the Detailed part list:

The line of the new part number follows the line of the former one. A letter is added after
the item number for the new part number (3).

Note : Case of a multiple upgrade

A part is replaced by a set of parts. There is not any interchangeability link between the
former part and the set of new parts.

(4) SPECIFIC CASE : TREATMENT OF MANDATORY MODIFICATIONS

In case of a modification covered by a Service Bulletin Alert, you will receive a kit in order
to correctly apply the modification to your helicopter(s).

For example below (serial numbers and modification numbers are fictitious):

After a modification (MOD 07 25 123), the part B evolves into part C. This modification
has to be applied from the serial number S/N 2550. B parts mounted on in-service
operational helicopters (S/N 2001 at 2549) will be modified by a kit, but for future
helicopters manufactured by Eurocopter (S/N 2550 at 2600), the part C will be mounted
instead of the part B.

The IPC will indicate in the Detailed list that:

- The part C is mounted on S/N 2001 to 2600 (after amendment 07 25 123)

- The part B is removed from the Detailed part list

Comment: This case occurs mainly for Eurocopter manufactured parts.

D UNDERSTANDING THE VALIDITIES

This chapter explains the different concepts of the validity.

The validity is used to differentiate the composition of each helicopter (in factory configuration)
at the level of its main components (assemblies or installations)

- Standard.
- Serialized.
- Optional.

(1) "STANDARD" ASSEMBLY OR INSTALLATION

Helicopter components to be assembled to form the basic standard. This component is

related to the latter by:

- Production and modifications.

Examples : floor hatch assy, FWD door attachment assy, cabin aft panel assy, etc...

The validity (indicated below the description for indent. 1 items and their alternatives) is
defined by the serial number of the aircraft on which these items are installed (upon
helicopter delivery).

(2) "SERIALIZED" ASSEMBLY OR INSTALLATION

Specific helicopter components which can be changed from one aircraft to another either by:

- Removal - installation.
- Manufactured separately.
- Modified separately.

Example : main gear-box, tail rotor hub, tail boom, etc...

For indentation 1 assemblies or installations the symbol "-" before the part number
indicates that these assemblies or installations are " SERIALIZED ".

The validity (indicated below the description for indent. 1 items and their alternatives) is
defined by the serial number of the aircraft on which these items can be installed.

(3) "OPTIONAL" ASSEMBLY OR INSTALLATION

Component or specific equipment which can be installed on, or removed from, individual
aircraft at the customer’s request. These components or equipment items are differentiated
from the aircraft either by:

- Installation or removal as required.

- Customisation as required.
- Modification, as required.

Example : Emergency floatation gear - Sling - Hoist, etc...

For indentation 1 assemblies or installations the symbol " + " before the part number
indicates that these assemblies or installations are " OPTIONAL ".

The validity (indicated below the description for indent. 1 items and their alternatives) is
defined by the serial numbers of all aircraft belonging to an operator who has at least one
optional item which can be installed on any of his aircraft.
