    Cutting processes remove material from the surface of a workpiece which involve several
    processes. List three (3) of common process of cutting.

    Sand casting is the most common and versatile type of casting in the expendable mould casting
    category. Discuss in your own words on hand ramming in sand casting.

    Figure 1 shows the raw material and its final product. The product is expected to be produced at a
    high production rate and higher material utilization. Please propose the most suitable metal
    forming process to manufacture the product.

    a) Answer the question using illustration and explain the suggested process. (2 Marks)
    b) Name other bulk deformation processes similar to the suggested process discussed in
    question a) and justify your answer. (2 Marks)

    One advantage of hot extrusion process is fast extrusion speed. Give two reasons why at elevated
    temperature the extrusion speed is fast and discuss 3 limitations of cold forming process.
