plan for it.

(within 2000 characters/300words) (Required)

Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated by airplanes and how they work. I remember the day when
my father asked me if I had an idea of what I wanted to do when I grew up. Ironically and fortunately, at
that exact moment, an airplane flew through the sky and I told him I would love to work on airplanes. As a
result, I threw myself into my studies in order to achieve this goal. I excelled in mathematics and physics,
which are essential for aeronautics engineering.

However, despite my passion and dedication, I have faced some challenges in pursuing my dream. In my
home country, there are limited opportunities and resources for studying aeronautics engineering. The
aviation industry in my country is not very developed, and there are few career prospects for aeronautics
engineers. Therefore, I have always dreamed of studying abroad, where I can access world-class
education and facilities, and where I can interact with diverse and talented people who share my interest.

That is why a chance to study at your prestigious establishment would be a massive breakthrough
towards attaining my goal. Your institution is renowned for its excellence in aeronautics engineering, and
it has produced many outstanding graduates. Your institution also offers generous scholarships and
financial aid for international students, which would enable me to afford the cost of living and studying in
a foreign country. Furthermore, your institution has a vibrant and multicultural campus life, where I can
learn from different perspectives and cultures, and where I can develop my personal and professional
skills.

I believe that studying at your institution would not only fulfill my academic aspirations, but also enrich
my life experience and broaden my horizons. I am confident that I have the potential and motivation to
succeed in this field, and I hope that you will give me the opportunity to prove it. Thank you for your
consideration.

Extracurricular activities are an important part of my life. They help me develop new skills, explore new
interests, and have fun. In this essay, I will talk about three extracurricular activities that I have taken up:
art, music, and chess. I will explain how they have influenced me personally and academically.

Art is a form of expression and creativity that allows me to show my personality and emotions. I started
drawing since kindergarten, and since then I have experimented with different styles. Art has taught me
many valuable lessons, such as being more confident in myself and my abilities, exploring new ideas and
appreciating the beauty of the world.

Music is a language of harmony and melody that connects me to others and myself. I started learning
music when I was in high school, and I briefly learned to play the violin. Music has taught me many
valuable lessons, such as being more disciplined and patient, improving my listening and memory skills.

Chess is a game of strategy and logic that challenges me to think critically and creatively. I started
playing chess when I was in high school, and since then I have competed with many opponents. Chess
has taught me many valuable lessons, such as being more focused and analytical and learning from my
mistakes.

In short, art, music, and chess are three extracurricular activities that I have enjoyed and benefited from.
They have helped me grow as a person and as a student, by enhancing my creative and emotional
abilities.

Being trilingual means having the ability to speak three languages fluently. Being born to Nigerian
parents in a francophone country, I speak English, French, and Yoruba, . Being trilingual has given me
many advantages in life, such as easier learning, and cultural awareness.
A benefit of being trilingual is that studying for me has always been a bit easier because I can think in the
language that is most suitable for the subject. For instance, when I study mathematics, I prefer to use
French, because it has a clear and logical structure that helps me solve problems and equations. When I
am trying to write an essay in class, I prefer to use English, because it is the language that my mother
made sure I mastered, her being a nigerian teacher in a beninese school. English has a rich and diverse
vocabulary that helps me express my thoughts and feelings. When I study history for an exam, I prefer to
use Yoruba, because it has a poetic and musical quality that helps me remember facts and stories.

Being trilingual also enabled me to participate in an international examination that opened new doors for
me. In 2020, I took part in the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) exam, which is a standardized
test for students in West African countries.

In conclusion, being trilingual has been a valuable asset for me in many aspects of life. I am proud of my
linguistic diversity and I hope to continue learning more languages in the future.

Being the first daughter in my family, I have two siblings who look up to me. Also, my parents are quite
busy people, so I was left alone a lot to take care of my sister, my brother, and the house. I got into a lot
of arguments, broke up lots of fights, while struggling to keep our house in one piece. My siblings are my
favorite people in the world and they unwillingly trained me to be a better and more patient individual.

Growing up in this environment, I learned how to be responsible, independent, and adaptable. I had to
balance my academic work with my domestic duties, and I had to manage my time and resources
efficiently. I developed a strong sense of empathy and compassion for others, and I always tried to help
them whenever I could.

These skills and qualities have helped me throughout my life, especially in my education. I have always
been a curious and eager learner, who loves to explore new topics and challenges. I have excelled in
various subjects, especially mathematics, science, and languages. I have also participated in many
extracurricular activities, such as arts and music. I have won an award for my academic achievements.

I believe that these experiences have prepared me well for college life, where I hope to pursue my passion
for engineering.

I am eager to join your institution and contribute to its academic community. Thank you for your

I come from a rather humble Christian household. My mother teaches chemistry in a secondary
school and my father does a lot of business, mostly freelance in Nigeria, so he isnt always present.
Nonetheless, he makes up for it by always calling, trying to know what we are up to so we dont miss
him too much. As for my mother, she makes sure we have good morals and faith.

My family has shaped me into who I am today. They have instilled in me the values of hard work,
honesty, and kindness. They have also supported me in pursuing my passion for aeronautical
engineering. I have always been fascinated by how airplanes work. I have learned how to code in
python, and I have created several projects and applications that demonstrate my skills and
creativity.

I am eager to join your institution and contribute to its academic community. Kind regards.
