Teachers Activity Students Activity
A. Daily Routine
1. Prayer
Let us all stand up for the opening
prayer, Rowelyn can you lead us a
prayer?

Good morning ma’am, good

morning classmates. Let’s bow down
our head, and feel the presence of our
almighty God. Lord, thank you for
this day and for all the blessings you
have given us. Forgive us for our
sins. Guide us in everything we do.
Give us knowledge and wisdom as
well as strength for today. This all we
ask in Jesus name. Amen!

Amen!
2. Customary greetings
Good morning class!
Good morning ma’am!
Before you take your seat, kindly
please your chair properly?

(the students do what the teachers

Now take your seat and I will check said)
your attendance.

(students take their seat)

(teacher checking attendance)

Very good class, you are all present

today.

3. Review
Before we proceed to our new lesson,
Let’s have a short review about our
previous lesson.

Class, do you remember our lesson

last meeting?
Yes ma’am, it is about Parallel,
Intersecting, and Perpendicular lines.

Very good Chenah, now class, what’s

talk about Parallel, Intersecting, and
Perpendicular lines again? Yes
Chrizel? Ma’am it talks about different types
of lines.

Very good! Then what is Parallel line

first? Ma’am it is the lines that never cross
each other.

Yes, it is the line that never cross, like

Vertical lines, Horizontal lines and
Diagonal lines.
Then how about a intersecting lines?
Ma’am it is a line that cross each
other.
Yes, and the example of intersecting
lines is scissors why? Because a pair
of scissors has two arms and both
arms form intersecting lines.
Then what is Perpendicular line?

Ma’am perpendicular line can form

square corners at the point of
intersection.
Very good class, I’m happy that you
understand our topic last meeting.

B. Motivation
Now class after our short review, I
want you to answer this activity.
The title of our activity is “Guess me,
paste me”. Before we start group
yourselves into 4.

Here’s the instruction, I will give you

a picture of angle and guess where
will you put that picture in this
measure on the board.

1. 60°
2. 45°
3. 120°
4. 75°

You can now go to your group mates

and start guessing where will you put
the picture that is given to your group.

(After 15 minutes)

Class are you done?

Yes ma’am!
Group 1, can you go in front and put
the picture in right measure?

Okay group 1 put the picture in 60°,

are they correct?
Yes ma’am!
How will we know if group 1 are
correct? Using?
Protractor ma’am!
Yes correct, using your protractor,
you will know if the answer of other
groups are correct.

Very good, now group 2?

Group 2 put the picture in 45°, are

they correct?

Yes correct, next group?

Yes!

Group 3 put the picture in 120°, are

they correct?

Correct! Last group?

Yes ma’am!

Group 4 put the picture in 75°, are

they correct?

Very good class, now what did you Yes ma’am!

notice about your drawings? It is all
about?

Very good class, okay now after that

let’s start our short discussion. Angles!

C. Presentation of the lesson

Students, our topic for today is about
Identifying and Classifying Angles.

Class can you give me types of a

Angles?

Yes, now take note because I will ask

you some questions later.
Right Angle!
Now, just like points, lines, and
planes, you can find things that
represent angles. You can even use
your fingers to show different kind of
angles.

Now our question for today is, what is

Angle?

Now Angle is a measure of a turn,

measured in degrees or °. There are
360° in a full turn. You can find out
the size of an angle using a protractor.

Do you understand?

Okay let’s proceed, this is the parts of

an angle.
Yes ma’am!

Now class, the device used in

measuring or drawing angles is called
protractor. The unit used is a degree.

Class take note that to measure an

angle, follow these steps.
Step 1. Align the center point of the
protractor with the vertex of the angle
being measured. Yes ma’am!

Step 2. Align the starting ray along

the based of the protractor that shows
the 0 degree mark.

Step 3. Follow the marking on the

protractor 0° on the starting ray to the
terminal ray.

Step 4. The number on the protractor

that coincides with the terminal ray
tells the measure of the angle.

Example:

The terminal ray of an angle is on the

90° mark. So, the angle measures 90
degrees.
There are different kinds of angles
depending on their measure.

A right angle measures 90°.

Less than a right angle is a acute
angle.
More than a right angle is obtuse
angle.

Class, take note for this.

An Angle is Classified according to
its measure.

A Protractor is a device used to

measure angles.

The unit for measuring an angle is

degree(°).

D. Application
Now I want to know if you understand
our discussion, I want to test yourself.
Direction: Name each angle. Write
your answer in a sheet of paper. Use a
protractor to measure the angle.

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

I will give you 10 minutes to answer

this. You can start now.

(after 10 minutes)

Are you all done class?

Okay , exchange papers with your
seatmate, no cheating. Yes ma’am!

what is the answer in number 1?

Very good, Number 2?

Acute Angle!
Number 3?

Obtuse Angle!
Number 4?

Staright Angle!
Last number?

Reflex Angle!
Very good! Who got a perfect score?

Right Angle!

Very good class, clap 5 times for

those perfect scores! Me!
Ma’am!

E. Valuing
Now class, why angle is important?

Yes, how about the others?

Because it describes measures ma’am

Okay very good!
Angles are used in many real-life
situations such as telling time on a
clock.
F. Generalization
So what is Angles again?

Very good, can you give me the types

of angles that is discussed?
Measure of degrees ma’am!

Right angle!
Obtuse Angle!
Reflex angle!
Alright! I'm so happy that you already Straight angle!
understand our topic for today, any
Acute angle!
questions class?

G. Evaluation
Now let’s proceed to your last task, None ma’am!
let’s have a short quiz about what we
tackle.

Get a clean sheet of paper and do this.

1. Draw 1 acute angle, draw 1 obtuse

angle, draw 1 right angle, draw 1
reflex angle, draw 1 straight angle.
2. Draw an angle that measures 225°.
3. Draw an angle that measure 60°

I will give you 10 minutes to answer.

(after 10 minutes)

Class are you done?

Please pass your paper forward.

H. Assignment/agreement Yes ma’am!

For your assignment, read and answer

the following questions on your
notebook.

1. What is angle?
2. How are angles are formed?
3. How do you name an angle?

That’s all for today, goodbye class!

Goodbye ma’am!
