Feelings: The onset of the week was marked by a blend of anticipation and mild anxiety.
The sheer volume of tasks appeared intimidating. I remember moments of doubt,
questioning if I'd adequately manage everything. However, as tasks were incrementally
completed and as I immersed myself in the intricacies of the assignments, those feelings
gradually transformed into a sense of purpose and accomplishment.
Evaluation: Our group sessions were particularly enlightening. While we had a few
initial hiccups in aligning our visions, once on the same page, our brainstorming
sessions became highly productive. However, I observed a tendency to push my
individual tasks to later hours. While the quiet of the night was often conducive to
focused work, there were times fatigue clouded my efficiency.
Analysis: In retrospection, it's evident that the immediacy and shared responsibility of
group tasks often overwhelmed individual commitments. The works with my group, with
diverse perspectives, were both challenging and motivating, always driving me to think
more deeply and comprehensively and stimulating me to learn consistently even off the
lectures. However, I felt the need for a more balanced approach where individual tasks
didn't feel secondary.
Action Plan:
In order to move forward more efficiently, my strategy includes:
Creating a more detailed daily planner, breaking tasks into sub-tasks for better
clarity, and giving more concrete and less vague instructions on what to do on
certain time slots.
Allocating dedicated early evening hours for individual study to leverage peak
productivity times.
Experimenting with techniques like the Pomodoro method to maintain focus
during study sessions.
Setting clear start and end times for group meetings to ensure they remain time-
bound and productive.
