Brute. A melee weapon deals one extra die of its damage when the hinox hits with it
(included in the attack).

ACTIONS
Multiattack. The hinox makes two attacks. It can replace any attack it makes with a
grapple attempt, its Crush action, or its Throw action.

Greatclub. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 25 (4d8
+ 7) bludgeoning damage.

Crush. The hinox attempts to crush a Medium or smaller creature it is grappling.

The target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take 20 (3d8 + 7)
bludgeoning damage.

Throw. The hinox throws a Medium or smaller creature it is grappling a distance of

up to 60 feet, or a height of up to 40 feet. If thrown into a wall or other solid
surface, the thrown creature takes 14 (4d6) bludgeoning damage from the impact. If
thrown upwards and allowed to fall, the creature takes 1d6 bludgeoning damage for
every 10 feet it falls.

Wild hinoxes are brutal but lazy giants that spend most of their time sleeping,
though they have a strange fascination with weapons sized for humanoids, often
wearing necklaces strung with such trinkets. Canny adventurers know that if they
need to replace their damaged weapons, they can steal them from a sleeping hinox,
though they must take great care when doing so. When woken, a hinox is capable of
ripping an entire tree out of the ground and swinging it like a massive club, which
has led to the death of many would-be thieves who weren't as sneaky as they thought
they were. Some hinoxes wear greaves made from wood or metal to better protect
themselves from smaller opponents.

Variant: Wooden Greaves

This variant of Wild Hinox wears one or two greaves of wood on its legs, each
greave increases Wild Hinox's AC by 1. A Wild Hinox wearing one greave has half
cover against Melee attacks from medium or smaller creatures from the front that
are on the same elevation as the Wild Hinox while a Wild Hinox wearing two greaves
has three--quarters cover under the same circumstances. Each Greave may be targeted
with a called shot to damage its pool of 50 HP. Greaves are immune to psychic and
poison damage and vulnerable to fire damage.
This variant has a Challenge Rating of 7 (2,900 XP) for one wooden greave and 8
(3,900 XP) for two greaves.
