1. Brief Introduction of MPC Autonomous College


Christened after the Late Maharaja Purna Chandra Bhanja Deo, the enlightened ruler of the erstwhile Princely
state of Mayurbhanj, the College has been successfully catering to the need of higher education of the people,
not only of Orissa but also of its adjoining states since its inception in July 1948. Over the years the institution
has grown from strength to strength and from glory to glory by adding fresh feathers to its cap of success.
With the conferment of Autonomous status upon the College by the UGC and Govt. of Orissa in 2000-2001
and accreditation by NAAC, the College has added two more shining feathers to its cap of success.

2. Department of Integrated B.Ed.


The Integrated B.Ed. department has been operationalized in MPC Autonomous College, Baripada from
academic session 2016-17 with four years BA B.Ed. and BSc B.Ed. courses in self-financing mode having
50 seats in each stream. From the academic session 2023-24, the department will start offering Integrated
Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) with one unit each B.A B.Ed. and BSc B.Ed. as per NCTE guidelines
followed by NEP-2020.

3. Courses
The College provides 4-Years Integrated B.A. B.Ed. & B.Sc. B.Ed. course for the academic session 2023-24.
The following Honors (Major) subjects are offered.

4. Eligibility for admission
As per NCTE Guide Line-2019(Govt. of India Gazette No.-118, April 02, 2019),
➢ The applicants must have passed +2 Arts/Science or Equivalent Examinations securing at least 50% of
marks in aggregate without extra optional.
➢ The applicant must have appeared the National Common Entrance Test (NCET – 2023) as mentioned
in the common prospectus 2023-24 and should have opted for this college.
➢ Candidates are advised to visit the college website for the detailed information regarding Integrated
B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. admissions.

5. Selection Procedure
The selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained by the students in the National Common
Entrance Test (NCET – 2023).

➢ In case of tie under selection criteria, admission to Integrated B.A. B. Ed, preference will be given to
the applicant having higher marks secured in English in 12th Board Examination. If English marks
are tied, marks secured in MIL should be taken into consideration.

➢ In case of tie under selection criteria, admission to Integrated B.Sc. B. Ed. (PCM) and Integrated BSc
B. Ed (CBZ) preference will be given to the applicant having higher of marks secured in English in
12th Board Examination. If English marks are tied, marks secured in Chemistry should be taken into
consideration.

➢ Honours (Major) Subject selection will be made after the completion of the admission process

➢ Selection of Honours (Major) Subject will be made only on the basis of marks secured in NCET
Exam-2023 through counselling process.

6. Reservation
Out of the total number of seats in MPC Autonomous College (B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed.),
reservation as per rules of the Government of India will be applicable from time to time

Competent Authorities for issuing the Certificates for Reserved Categories are as under
Candidate who belongs to any of the above reserved categories should bring a certificate of their
category duly attested by a Gazetted Officer at the time of admission in University. Failing which the
eligibility will be rejected.
a. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS Category - District Magistrate/Sub-Divisional
Magistrate/Tehsildar/MRO/Competent Authority.
b. Candidates belonging to PwD and Visually Challenged - Chief Medical Officer of Civil
Hospital (40% or more disability will only be considered)

8. Publication of Merit List

A) No Intimation letters will be sent to the Candidates.


B) Merit List and other related information’s will be displayed in the College Notice Board and
College website- www.mpcautocollege.org.in / e-mail / SMS.

The applicants are advised to visit the College Website regularly for selection list during the
Admission time.

9. Admission

The selected candidates for admission are required to come personally to the college with required
documents and fees for admission on the date and time specified in the Selection List. They are
required to deposit the admission fee in cash in the collection counter. If a selected student in the
merit list fails to come on the date of admission his candidature will be cancelled and he/she will
not be allowed to take admission in future.

iii. Original Mark Sheet of +2 / equivalent examinations with Xerox copy.
iv. Original College leaving Certificate (CLC) from the institution last attended.
v. Original Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended.
vi. Original Migration Certificate for student passing the qualifying examination from other than
the CHSE, Odisha.
vii. Original Certificates with Xerox copies in support of claim for reservation, if applicable.

13. Examination
There shall be Semester pattern of Examinations i.e. two in each academic session. The Examination
Rules followed in the college shall be equally applicable.
14. Interpretation of rules
Admission to the course is not a matter of right. It is always provisional. The students admitted for
the course must abide by the rules and regulations, dress-codes etc. of the college. In matters of
dispute relating to rules and regulations the decision of the Principal shall be final and binding. Rules
mentioned in the Common Prospectus are not exhaustive and subject to change/ modification as per
the orders of the appropriate authorities.

issued on or after 1 April 2022.
Since I have not been able to collect the said certificate on time, I may kindly be

allocation.
