2 LOGO USAGE

CLEAR SPACE
The Ocean Basket logo is most effective when surrounded by a safe area ensuring greater legibility and
improved recognition. A minimum area of unobstructed clear space, based on the width of the "OB” in
the symbol, must surround the logo in all situations (see examples below).

In layouts where the use of the landscape logo becomes challenging ie. it appears too small, our stacked logo may be used.

INCORRECT APPLICATION AND INTERFERENCE


It is imperative that our logo is clearly visible on every piece of communication. Ensure no imagery, text or design elements
interfere with the logo by adhering to the safe area stipulated above. The symbol may never appear on its own (unless
approved by Marketing).

When placed over menu item imagery, the background image may, at the designers' discretion, cut underneath the symbol.
The background image may NEVER infringe on the clear space around the wordmark.

PRIMARY FONT
The Helvetica Neue family has been selected as the Ocean Basket corporate font for its legibility,
versatility and compatibility. The weights of the font family can be explored within a design to
create hierarchy and focus.

Trashhand Regular should be used sparingly and only for
headlines where the Helvetica font family feels too heavy and HEADLINE EXAMPLES

2 IMAGERY

BACKGROUND IMAGERY
2019 backgrounds take heed from the 2019 menus. The backgrounds should preferably be used when food
imagery is shown. They can also be used on their own with strong, bold text to create texture and interest.
The background choice should always enhance the product and not overwhelm it.

We have simplified our graphic elements over the last few years. Use these elements sparingly,
selectively, and not on-mass.

Keep it simple and elegant with maximum 2 sets of graphic elements per layout. DON'T
