Tell me about yourself:

I am RUBEN C. AGARCIO, my office administration/management experience spans small and

large companies in Corporate, Mega Recruitment, Manufacturing Industries, NGOs and LGUs
and my day-to-day office duties for my previous jobs helps me to put my skills and knowledge to
a test. I believe I have established strong character and strength on my management and
leadership skills specially on the recruitment cycle of the organization.

With 12+ Years’ experience in corporate human resource focusing in admin and recruitment
function. Solid technical knowledge of non-local work permit application and recruitment life
cycle.

I had the opportunity to work overseas in countries like SAUDI ARABIA, SINGAPORE and the
Philippines, working overseas broadens my horizons like no other experience, and it pushes me
beyond my comfort zone which allows me to grow more than I would in other circumstances
which helps ME build strong working relationships through amazing and memorable experiences
in my LIFE,

When the COVID pandemic happens, I decided to return to the Philippines last February and
stay for good. I felt that I had been working for how many years abroad and did not have time to
spend with my family, particularly with my daughter, and this pandemic made me realize that,
above all, it is a great feeling to have time to spend with your family. But don’t have any regrets
working overseas, working abroad has its happiness and challenges. There is anxiety and fear at
the same time excitement and pleasure. Well, it is in fact a mixed emotion. Nevertheless, when
you’re far away from your home, you do not have a choice but to live on your own. Being away
from your families and friends, you surely will have no one to depend on but yourself. However,
to live and survive overseas has its advantage on me as it was greatly polish my independence
and still will be one of the most challenging, rewarding and, at time, DISTRESSING experience
of my life
What makes you excited about this kind of work?
To be honest, I just need a job, and this one looked interesting. I see this as a stepping stone to
bigger and better things, and based on the information I've gathered, your company offers
competitive pay and benefits. Above all, if given a chance I am excited about professional
development opportunities working with your company.

How would you describe yourself?

Introvert, Extrovert, Ambivert? Why?

I think I’m Ambivert. Depends on the situation I am with.

I am comfortable being an introvert, I don't get bored by myself for long periods of time.
However, I prefer to interact with people. At the same time, I am not outgoing and I don't chat up
strangers and make small talk. I never feel like doing this. But when I do get into social
situations, I love it. It doesn't tire me out. In my case I’m personally introvert head but sometime
when I’m at work, speaking with my colleagues that’s extroversion side of me is getting ahead of
me so I'm getting talkative so in that case I’m both extraverted and introverted. Sometimes I just
like to be alone, I can spend weekends at home doing my own thing. Other times I like company,
and will actively pursue social events. If someone cancels plan, I can easily enough find
something to do on my own.
Please describe your most demanding client.
 * Please describe your most demanding client
What made her/him demanding?
My previous job required me to take over a recruitment project from a colleague who had
resigned. This client arrived at our office walked into the room yelling during my first meeting
with him. He was enraged by the issues we hadn't yet resolved regarding the DEPLOYMENT of
his workers who were still in the process of obtaining visas. I didn't cut him off. I took notes on
the issues he brought up. When he was finished, I told him I would handle all of his complaints.
As I questioned him about each issue, he began to calm down and provide me with more
information. I went over the specific actions I intended to take and promised to work on the
issues. I made it a point to keep the customer up to date on my progress. Eventually, he
apologized for his actions. It took one of us.
What makes him so demanding? He expects me to Cath up and solve his problem without
realizing that I just took over this recruitment job from a colleague who did not formally endorse
this assigned job or project.

What are your current obligations/commitments? How many

hours would you have available for Mind maven per week?

I have no current obligations because I am not currently employed; I can work 8 hours per day,
40 hours per week, or overtime if necessary.

Do you have grave-yard shift experience? If yes,

please indicate how many years and describe how it
has worked for you. If this would be your first time
working grave-yard shift, please explain why you're
interested in working this shift.
YES, I worked in the middle east for how many years, during Ramadhan our company requires
us working in grave-yard shift. Most of our client are available during night time since they are
fasting during daylight hours. I don’t have any problem doing grave-yard shift.
Does the $7/hr rate work for what you need? Why or
why not?
Yes, $7/hr rate works for me.
The minimum wage in the Philippines is Php 537.00, which is divided by 8 hours per day to yield
67 Php, or 1.29 USD. If I compare the $7/hr rate to the Php1.29 rate in the Philippines, your
company pays well and there is a significant huge difference, to think that I'm working remotely
for this 7/hr rate.

How would you define success in your personal &

business life?
My definition of success is completing my responsibilities in my team and firm. I believe that my
employer has placed me in a position where I can contribute to the team's and company's
objectives, so I strive hard to complete my individual responsibilities as efficiently as possible.

When you encountered a problem in your previous

job(s), what did you do to overcome it?
I once discovered a big error in the work of one of the department's most senior members,
which could have been very costly to the organization if it had gone unnoticed. I went straight to
them and informed them of the problem so they could correct it before it had an impact on the
final result.

Who is the most influential person in your life and how

did he/she impact you? How would they describe
you?
It had to be my parents. My parents have had a huge impact on my life in a variety of ways. My
father has instilled in me a competitive spirit as well as a sense of goodwill. My mother has
taught me the value of hard work and dedication. They have instilled in me a strong sense of
morality and the importance of relying on family. They're fantastic!

What is the toughest obstacle you have encountered

in life? Did you overcome it? How?
To be honest, I haven't faced any major challenges in my life. I feel fortunate to remain healthy
and to succeed in most of my endeavors. I'm aware that I'll face some challenges in the future,
both personally and professionally. And I'm hoping to be prepared to deal with them. My aims
and goals should propel me ahead and assist me in overcoming the challenges that I face. My
life has been quite uncomplicated up to this point, but I am aware that things can suddenly
change. I believe I am prepared for such a change.

With the tasks and requirements mentioned in the job

ad, if you are going to rate yourself from 1-10, 10
being the highest, what rate will you give yourself?
I would rate myself8 out of 10 because although I am confident in my skills still I have a lot to
learn from people who are much experienced and knowledgeable than me.
