    5 English 18 Award 4 marks if the student has written a meaningful sentence, connected to the sentence given, and with no
    errors.

    Award 3 marks if the student has written a meaningful sentence, connected to the sentence given, with one
    error.

    Award 2 marks if the student has written a meaningful sentence, connected to the sentence given, with two
    errors.

    Award 1 mark if the student has written a meaningful sentence, connected to the sentence given, with three or
    more errors.

    Award 0 marks if the sentence is irrelevant or if the sentence is not related to the given sentence
    5 English 19 Award 4 marks if the sentence is correctly rewritten as 'If I were home, I would be playing.'

    Award 2 marks if the student has made 1-2 mistakes in punctuation or capitalisation.

    Award 0 marks if both punctuation and capitalisation have been done incorrectly, or if question has not been
    attempted.
    5 English 20 Award 6 marks if the student has written a meaningful entry with correct format, with no major grammar or
    spelling errors, good vocabulary, and fulfilling the word count.

    Award 4.5 marks if the student has written a meaningful entry with correct format, with no major grammar or
    spelling errors, good vocabulary, and fulfilling the word count.

    Award 3 marks if the student has written a meaningful diary entry but has made major errors in formatting,
    grammar, spelling, or wordcount fulfillment.

    Award 1.5 marks if the student has written a diary entry with relatively correct format, but with major spelling,
    grammar errors, or without logical meaning.

    Award 0 marks if the student has not understood the question, or if the diary entry is not comprehensible, does
    not have meaning, or if the question is not attempted.
