MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

A) DEPOT MANAGEMENT

1. Management of all Kobil Uganda Limited Depot (Kampala & Jinja) operations to
ensure safe and efficient utilization of resources including:
a. Product receipts, loadings and dispatches;
b. Inventory management and control;
c. Operating equipment to ensure uninterrupted and efficient service delivery.
2. Management of product losses to within allowable limits.
3. Management of security operations at Depots.

B) DISTRIBUTION

1. Negotiation and management of third party transport contracts.


2. Ensure the timely availability of safe and reliable trucks to transport products to the
retail network and commercial customers across the country.
3. Enforcement of required company quality and safety standards during loading,
offloading and transit of product.
4. Ensure compliance with company and legal requirements.

C) SUPPLY & PLANNING


1. Ensure product availability at all times, ready for sale and at the most competitive
prices, from parent company and third parties in adherence to all regulatory
requirements.
2. Negotiation and management of all product supply contracts.
3. Ensure the timely availability of safe and reliable primary trucks to transport products
to the company depots.
4. Management and timely reconciliation of the Gross Payment Account.
5. Timely settlement of Supplier and Transporter dues.

D) ENGINEERING – CIVIL & MECHANICAL

1. Overall Management of a civil and mechanical Preventive Maintenance Program at


Depots, Retail Stations and Commercial installations, including:
a. Maintenance / repair of generator sets, compressors, air gauges and other
equipment;
b. Fuel pumps, tanks and pipelines;
c. Product display cages;
d. Electrical installations;
e. Fire-fighting equipment;
f. Building maintenance and repairs.

 Participate in identification of resource requirements for the purpose of budgets.
 Monitoring all stocks at the Depots where the company holds hospitality arrangements.
 Ensure compliance to ISO 9001:2000 QMS requirements in all tasks.
 Selling oil products to over 10 commercial accounts.
 Negotiating prices and closing sales deals with customers.
