3. POSITION OVERVIEW
The role holder will be responsible to establish and maintain relationships with vendors for the purchase of material
in right quantity, at the right price and at the right time.

1 Responsible for all purchases related to the category.
2 New vendor development and reviewing the vendor contracts for optimising risks.
3 Apply appropriate commercial review and negotiation, cost and price analysis techniques to evaluate vendor
proposals and negotiate contractual terms and conditions.
4 Implementing Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Schedules/ Statements of Work (SOW) and variations for
projects whilst ensuring they are aligned with RAKC legal framework.
5 Following Just-in-Time (JIT) process for all materials.
6 Thoroughly understands on E-procurement and finalizing all leverage materials through E-auction.
8 Participate in strategic sourcing process, supplier selection and maintain contract repository.
10 Monthly monitoring of costs and ensure that they are within budget.
11 Engage in ongoing projects to eliminate wastes in the process and to meet the targeted savings.
12 Perform logistical coordination and implement material management policies and procedures.
13 Proactively maintain positive working relationships with internal customers and vendors alike to expedite the
procurement process efficiently, effectively and in accordance with the approved policies and procedures
14 Analyse market trends and market conditions including pricing, availability, lead-time, and innovative
practices.
