WELCOME TO

W elcome to Farmington! As you

drove into town, you probably
noticed the words Jolt Your Journey
on our welcome sign and wondered
what it was about. Let us explain. It’s
our way of promising to deliver those
little positive impressions or unexpected
surprises—JOLTS as we like to call
them—that help make a vacation one
you never forget. It might be as simple
as an extra dose of some genuine
Southwestern hospitality or as special
as falling in love with a piece of art from
one of the galleries in the Historic Heart
of Farmington and getting to meet the
artist in person. It might even be while
you are flipping through this guide and
realize just how much there is to see and
do in Farmington! One way or the other,
Farmington will surprise you. We take
pride in it.
We also take pride in being a place
where outdoor lovers and active families
thrive amidst endless adventures. Did
you know Farmington is on the doorstep
of two UNESCO World Heritage sites
or that we are surrounded by some of
the best hiking and biking trails you
can find anywhere? That avid fishermen
come from all over the world to fish the
famous “Red Chile” water of the San
Juan River? It’s all true, but don’t take
our word for it. Come see for yourself
what adventures Farmington has in
store for you!
The Farmington Convention and
Visitors Bureau team is here to help
plan your next jolt-worthy trip. Call us
at (800) 448-1240, visit our website at
farmingtonnm.org, or stop by at
3041 E. Main St to get started.

over Labor Day weekend. Festivities
include a Native American art market,
