1.0 INTRODUCTION
Mental Health Awareness Month takes place in May. Recognizing that mental health
is a vital component of overall health and wellness and that mental diseases are widespread
and treatable, has never been more important. Mental health is a condition of well-being in
which a person recognizes his or her own potential, is able to cope with stressful situations,
works productively and effectively, and contributes to his or her community. While some of
us may be more vulnerable than others, we all experience problems in life that might
negatively our mental health. After all, just a few months ago, none of us could have
predicted that the coronavirus would upend our entire worlds, turning concerning isolation,
loneliness, sadness, and anxiety into universal experiences. Untreated depression affects
many young people around the world. Suffering from mental illness at a young age inhibits
the growth of necessary habits and skills. Behavioural skills such as sensory and motor
abilities, for example, are not developed.
On Saturday, 16 July 2022 at 10:00 a.m., an event will be held that will more focus on
‘The Importance of Mental Health”. This event will be held at The One Auditorium, Kuala
Lumpur. All university students and a worker will participate in the event. Other than that,
the event will be launched by Dr Ahmad Rostam Md Zin, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist
at Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Alor Setar.
Due to the recent Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, I estimate that 400
participants can participate in the event so that the SOP can still be controlled and there will
be no spread of the Covid-19 outbreak there.

2. Teach you to control emotions and stress when faced with difficult situations

Next, I would like to invite Dr. Ahmad Rostam Md Zin to this talk. Dr. Ahmad Rostam
Md Zin is the Malaysian Psychiatric Association's Exco of Early Career Psychiatrists. In
addition, he is a member of the Malaysian Muslim Health Professional Alumni Association
(IMPAK). Aside from that, he is involved in various mental health NGOs in Malaysia and is
active on social media. In Malaysia, I am also a member of a few well-known health NGOs.
He is the current general secretary of the Malaysian Psychiatry Association, and he is active
in guideline reviews as well as the Ministry of Health's local and national programs. I decided
to bring him because speaking with a medical or mental health expert, such as a psychiatrist,
about mental health issues or emotional difficulties is a positive step toward improving your
mental health. Being truthful and open will assist you in receiving the best care for your
needs.

According to the Malaysian singer, the inspiration for her song Kita Manusia was her
own mental health difficulties. She intended to draw attention to mental health issues like
sadness, anxiety, depersonalization, and self-harm. It is important to remember that these are
topics that are rarely discussed in the country. Daiyan Trisha talked about her career and
family challenges, emphasizing that they are common and that anyone can go through them.
As humans, we will all experience challenges; therefore, there is no need to hide those
feelings. Because of that, I think that he deserves to give a talk about mental health.
3.6 CONCLUSION
Mental fitness, like physical fitness, helps us reach and maintain a condition of
excellent mental health. We appreciate our lives, our surroundings, and the people in them
when we are mentally healthy. We have the ability to be innovative, learn new skills, and
take risks. We are more capable of dealing with difficulties in our personal and professional
life. We experience sadness and anger as a result of the death of a loved one, job loss,
relationship troubles, and other traumatic incidents, but we are able to move on and enjoy our
lives again over time.
Because of that, I arrange this event to spread awareness among the worker and
higher education students. This is because many employees and students face problems such
as depression that may be caused by stress. Taking care of our mental health can also help us
avoid or fight the mental health issues that can arise because of a chronic physical condition.
It may be able to prevent the beginning of the return of the physical or mental disease in some
situations. For example, good stress management can reduce the risk of heart disease.
In brief, I am hoping that this event goes off without a hitch and that it provides several
benefits to the audience's mental health and makes their life better.
