Course Description
The course offers foundation knowledge about the use of Microsoft Office Program tools and procedures for business analysis and systems design. This also covers the study of
complementary networks of hardware and software that people and organizations use to collect, filter, process, create and distribute data.

Course Intended Learning Outcomes:

Specifically it aims to:


1. The student will demonstrate an understanding of the scope, purpose and value of information in an organization.
2. The students will demonstrate an understanding of the principles, issues and trends in managing information infrastructure and services.
3. The students will demonstrate an understanding of the Information Management and processes involved in utilizing the Internet for Interacting with consumers.
4. The students will demonstrate skills on the processes involved in securing Information Systems.
5. The students will be able to identify important features of organizations in order to build and use information systems successfully.
6. The students will be able to define and describe the fundamentals of hardware, software, database management, data communications and systems related to the
management activities in an organization.
7. The students will be able to assess how information management support the activities of managers and end-users in organizations in an industry analysis scenario.
8. The students will demonstrate understanding of the ethical issues associated with the integration systems into society.
9. The students will be able to identify the principal management challenges posed by the ethical and social impact of information systems and management solutions.
