    Heart Cactus Wall Hanging by Flo and Dot

    You will need:


    100g balls Paintbox Yarns Recycled Cotton Worsted
    1 x String (1300)
    1 x Meadow Green (1309)
    1 x Honey (1302)
    1 x Tea Dance (1301)
    4.5mm hook
    30cm wooden dowel or stick
    Approximate size: Panel 23 x 23cm

    This pattern is written in UK terms


    ch - chain
    dc - double crochet (US - sc - single crochet)
    RS - right side
    st(s) – stitch(es)
    WS - wrong side

    Now for the boring bit, please feel free to make and sell a small number of items created from this pattern, but please do not
    reproduce or distribute the pattern as your own. Please be sure to credit me as the designer and link to me if selling online.

    The pa ern is worked in rows of dc throughout using intarsia/colourwork crochet.


    Follow chart from bottom upwards for pattern and colour changes required, each square equals one stitch.
    Work odd (RS) rows from right to left and even (WS) rows from left to right.
    Rather than cutting yarn when changing colour, carry yarn not being used along or up back of work until required.
    Don't carry too longer lengths of yarn along the back and remember to untangle yarn as you go.
    If you prefer wind the main colour into two smaller balls to use on eitherside of the panel.
    For a neat finish when changing colour, use new colour for last yarn over hook of previous stitch.

    Square Wall Hanging


    Using Main Colour, make 36ch
    Follow chart provided for colour changes required.
    Row 1: (RS) dc in second ch from hook, dc to end, turn (35dc)
    Rows 2 to 41: 1ch, 35dc, turn
    Fasten off and weave in ends.

    To finish:
    Attach panel by either using dc or oversewing around wooden dowel or stick. Weave in ends.
    Attach a length of yarn to wooden dowel or stick for hanging.
    Make two 12cm tassels for bottom corners.
