    Materials: pictures of animals and pictures of plants, PPT Presentation, real object

    Value focus: Taking care of a plant

    III. Procedure
    A. Review
    Show some pictures of animals and let the pupils name them.
    Ask: What are the animals that live in land, water, both land and water?

    B. Motivation
    Garden Tour: Tour the pupils in the school garden. Ask the following questions.

    What can you see in the garden?


    What are some of the plants that grow in our school?

    C. Lesso Proper
    1. Presentation
    Activity: Show a real plant. (Eggplant)

    2. Discussion:

    Explain the different parts of a plant and their functions.

    Roots- absorb water and minerals from the soil and holds the plants so it does not fall over.

    Stem- is strong and helps to hold the plant. It allows water and nutrients flow up to the leaves.

    Leaves- it collect sunlight and make food for plants. Every plant has a different kind of leaf.

    Flower- are the parts of plants that make seeds and fruits.

    Fruits- Fruits protect seeds. They help plants spread seeds out because animals transport when they eat
    fruits.
    3. Generalization
    Ask the pupils the different parts of a plant and their function.

    IV. Application
    Group activity.
    Group I-Puzzle
    Group II-label the plant.

    V. Evaluation
    Direction: Label the different parts of a plant. Choose the answer in the box.

    VI. Assignment:
    Direction: Draw a plant and label it.

    Objectives:

    At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:


    a. Group animals based on where they live
    b. Name animals in different habitat.

    Materials: pictures of animals in different habitat.

    Procedure:

    A. Review
    Let the pupils review the past lesson. What are the different parts of an
    animals?

    B. Motivation
    Group activity.
    Instruct the pupils to post their work.

    C. Lesson Proper
    Explain briefly the concepts through illustrative examples.

    a. Habitat refers to the place where the animals live.


    b. Different habitats are described as land, water, both land and water.

    Tell them to name other animals living in the different habitats.

    Discussion:
    To further explain the concepts, ask the folling:

    1. What are the different places where animals live?


    2. What are the animals live in land? Water? Both land and water?

    Generalization:

    Ask: What are the different places where animals live?
