A. Introduction Day 1
Panimula Safety Precautions in Plumbing

1. Never attempt to adjust, test and make any repair if you lack the basic
skills or knowledge and do not fully understand the directions provided.

2. If your appliances, devices, projects, object of repair or its component


differ from those described, do not attempt to repair.

3. Always follow manufacturer’s instruction.

4. Always wear eye protection and protective clothing or gear, as


directed by a service manual or an installation guide.

5. Always assume that the electrical lines are normally energized before
servicing that electrical device. Disconnect it from the electrical source
either by unplugging the appliance or turning off the power at the
circuit breaker or the fuse box.

6. Before doing any service on the electrical lines, put a note on the
electrical panel that warns anybody so as not to put on the power.

7. If you are unfamiliar with a device or its components, consult a


professional serviceman before attempting to make any repair.

8. When working with equipment wear rubber-soled shoes. Avoid damp


locations and hold all tools by their insulated handles.

9. Never touch conductive surfaces such as pipes or metal bracing.

10. Use a non-conductive fiberglass ladder when working with electricity.

11. Avoid shorting electrical circuits.

12. Use caution when reaching into something.

13. Always practice proper and reasonable safeguards as well as those


suggested by the manufacturer of the device and tools you use.
