Gupta

Minutes of the meeting:

Sameer Ahmed
My name is Sameer Ahmed and I stand for empathy for myself and for others. Today i feel better
than the same time last week and i am much more relaxed after submitting two of my
assignments today. The readings for this week made myrealise that as an individual, there is not
only one identity that i possess, but i may be recognised by a lot of different realities and
perceptions. I don’t have to just stick to one identity and think that there is a norm to which i
must adhere, but whatever i am is adequate and is my reality and my pride. The sheikh from the
reading inspired me to uphold my integrity and my values no matter the consequences or threats
from the society. I have tried to use this tool whenever I am representing a group or working
with a team, so that i can connect better to people whilst not losing my self-esteem or identity. I
now feel much more calm and accepted after talking to everyone and learning of their
experiences.

Bragathi
My name is Bragathi and I stand for compassion to myself and others. The message that one is
not confined to the social identities they are born with but the authenticity lies in how well an
individual acknowledges the identity, their values, and how an individual embraces the diversity
was Insightful. The tool that is helpful. The personality profile for each person is different and
unique. This understanding helps me to see unique abilities in myself as well as others which
serves as a tool to make better communication and build more positive self image and peaceful
interpersonal relationships. The process of sharing these insights and learnings made me
grounded, hence feeling calm and relieved.
ThweThwe Moe

My name is Moe. I stand for openness for herself and others. After reading this week parts, I
realized that my wisdom and inner capacity and I think how to resolve and release my fear and
anxiety through knowing my wisdom and inner capacity. As the author said, I accept everyone
has different personality. We cannot evaluate which one is better than others because everything
is unique. Everybody has their strength and own style without similar with another. And also,
they have weakness and dark side in their lives. That is not for only one person, and it happens in
the lives of everyone. In my life, the slogan I like best is “No one is perfect, but practice makes
perfect.” That slogan gives me strength when I feel depression and lonely. Aftering hearing the
learning of my friends, I noticed that they have their own unique point of view.

Sam. V
M2022MC019

My name is Sam i stand for self awarness for myself and others. This is my reflections of this
week readings. Social profile - I could connect from the reading that my social profile was
created as I grew in my surrounding. I am identifying myself within the frame where it is socially
and politically correct. But when I Transcend my traditional boundaries, I feel I can also be in
action in the society like those people mentioned in the book on page number 66 (last week for
my shoot, when I took help from other school friends, I was able to do it potentially).
(page number 66) Impermanence is the way of life and the universe. Whenever there is
something I feel I am losing this exact thing, I relate to it. Professional profile - As mentioned in
the book, collaborating beyond the professional boundary has led to the solution in the past
week.

Lalitya Parihar (M2022LSP011)

My name is Lalitya Parihar and I stand for Hustle, Loyalty and Respect for myself and others.
After reading the portion for the week, I was interested by the various identities we all possess
and how we may reflect on and use them.We are always evolving and learning about how to
acquire and lose the identities we identify with.

I will make an effort to foster an atmosphere of inclusivity by not excluding someone based only
on their social profile.

I believe in enhancing my personality and developing my innate ability to face and conquer fear
and anxiety. I will then get a greater appreciation for the distinctiveness and originality of each
person's path.

Anjali Singh (M2021codp005)

My name is Anjali Singh, and i stand for kindness for myself and for everyone. After reading the
section for the week I understood and reflect upon how we as humans constantly exist and
socialise under multiple identities and use those identities accordingly. We are under constant
evolution and learning process about learning and unlearning the identities we identify ourselves
as. Today as I live in the political reality, i see that the youth is being more cautious and sensitive
about their social profile, like reflecting upon (my) family, religion, politics, race, culture,
country, caste, however we must be sensitive and be able to accept and embrace multiple
identities so that to accept openness in the environment we live in. When we embrace these
different accepts of social profiles in an inclusive manner and ground ourselves in our inner
capacities, we should be able to create space and environment that’s inclusive and works for
everyone. The multiple identities are our daily practice, how rigid we are upon them, how much
we respect other’s identities also defines us, as we humans are born under certain social profile
by chance but not choice. I find the story of sheikh as touching and inspiring, as it lessons us to
be humane first. I find it interesting how we are referring to multiple identities all the time
according to our convenience and also keep changing them. After hearing and observing what
other members has to reflect, i understand how all human’s are constantly using multiple
identities and ideologies, ideologies also in reference to their political standing and how one can
be real rigid about political ideologies or identities. I feel more open to others identities and
ideologies.

“There are some personality types that are very good, and if i had that personality type, i would
be more successful” the statement seems so vague. I can always embrace my personality.

Saurabh Singh
(M2022LSP020)

My name is Saurabh Singh and I stand for Hustle, Loyalty & Respect. After attending the session
and reading the section of the prescribed pages I am nothing but moved by the fact that multi-
personalities exist within a human. I realisedthe importance of being sensitive and accepting of
multiple identities to create an inclusive environment. Ineed to highlight the need to ground
ourselves in our inner capacities while embracing different aspects of our social profiles. Then I
learnt aboutabout how humans are born into certain social profiles and how we use multiple
identities and ideologies. Also I stressed on the fact that comparisons between individuals are
unfair and unproductive as everyone has their own unique strengths and weaknesses. I believe
in improving my own personality and tapping into my inner capacity to overcome fear and
anxiety. Then I will become more appreciative of the individuality and uniqueness of each
person's journey

Samyak Jain (M2022SE035)

My name is Samyak Jain, and i stand for justice and compassion for myself and everyone. After
reading the section for the week it intrigued me about the multiple identities we carry within
ourselves and reflect and use them accordingly. Not just identities but personalities as well. In
order to cater to the social, political, wisdom profiles of the environment today we are constantly
using multiple identities at times unconsciously. In a conversation we don’t normally realize how
we shift and change our identities according to our convenience all the time but if we observe, its
a constant dilemma. We are also shifting and changing personalities, for a Mother and
Housewife at home can also be the CEO of a multinational company. In order to open ourselves
to new realities and learnings we must understand for what is humane and what are the socially
constructed biases since the norms of our culture might hinder us from opening up to the new
environment. I reflect upon how important it is to speak up, when i find my family being
stereotyping and reducing someone on basis of their social profile. I commit to be in a place to
interrupt gently and put forward how everyone is valuable and must not be reduced for the
factors humans achieved by chance, not by choice or struggle (its not an achievement). I will try
I’d be able to create and environment of inclusiveness, not excluding anybody upon their social
profile. Listening and observing what the members have to say helped me understand how
humans are in constant dilemma at times without realising it but it doesn’t have to be tough. One
can be sensitive towards each other’s identities, ideologies and personalities to be more open and
understanding of one another.

“A compassionate open heart is a space of endless possibilities” the truth and opportunities i will
seek upon this statement. As humans we have choice and we must take it and learn new
possibilities.

Vrinda Gupta (M2022APCCP051)

Social Profile

I think I echo the book’s idea of social profile and how oftentimes our identities are not really
our own but our just roles, responsibilities and traits that we are socialized into. Oftentimes even
our strongest beliefs and value systems are also things that don’t actually belong to us but simply
systems we’ve come to associate and identify with over the course of time on the account of
repetitive exposure and socialization.

It raises a very pertinent question for me, “If everything I think I am is socially determined, then
who am I really?”

It really upsets me that people identify with their social identities to the extent that wars are
fought on religious grounds and people are discriminated perpetually or are victims of hate
crimes because of the caste that they belong to. I understand that social identities give us a sense
of belonging but, I also feel that they alienate us from our authentic nature as human beings.

Professional Profile
When reading about the professional profile, I realised that regardless of how good of a skillset
or knowledge we have pertaining to our discipline, if we aren’t operating from our universal
values and with the intention of well-being of one and all, we won’t do much good for the world.
The intention precedes the action. In a world where skill and knowledge are being increasingly
commodified, we need to extend our universal values to our profession and use our skills and
knowledge for the greater good.
