Responsibilities and Duties:

• Undertakes the affairs of Awqaaf and settings strategies, procedures and projects to reserve
them and develop their resources.
• Setting strategies for managing Zakat (charity), Pilgrimage and prevention of extremists’ idea
• Supervising religious advisory and guidance and preparing nationals to specialize in related fields.
• Training of Islamic scholars such as Imams, holy quran teachers and showing Islamic festivals

Position 3: Community Engagement Officer


Institution: Danish Refugee Council (DRC)
Duration: May 2016- January 2018
Location: District Galmudug Somalia
Responsibilities
• Worked as focal points DRC of operating areas for case workers, provided confidential
reporting of cases and the situation of women and children survived rapes, attempt rape or at
risk of gender-based violence (GBV)
• Supported the caseworkers and build their capacity to make the follow up of cases and to
implement the referral system for health, psychosocial, security/protection and legal services to
GBV survivors
• Worked with close coordination of case workers for the distribution of material assistance
provided to the women, men, boys and girls at risk of GBV and other GBV survivor
• Interact with the community, elders, imams, formal and informal authorities on a daily basis to
coordinates identification, make prompt reports especially for emergency cases
• Supported the GBV Field Coordinator to organize GBV mainstreaming sessions, including
identify community leaders (women and men), humanitarian and others stakeholders
• Make sure that confidentiality is always respected when dealing with GBV cases
• Facilitates mediation, when is needed, among the community to facilitate in DRC work in the
target communities
• Performed all the tasks related to the project and assignments delegated by DRC head mission

Responsibilities
• Received complaints and feedback via the CRM toll free line, takes appropriate solutions, makes
registrations of the compliments and shares line managers involves of the complaint resolution
• Built staff awareness and commitment to a complaint’s mechanism, ensuring that all SOPs and
core values are respected
• Trains M&E Field assistants and Complaint response mechanism assistants to carry out regular
community feedback functions, ensuring that all SOPs and core policies are respected.
• Compiles data and submit internal and accurate reports to the concerned programs/projects on
weekly basis
• Manages beneficiary and stakeholders’ complaints and feedback mechanisms
• Liaise with local authorities and community leaders to support the resolution of complaints
• Ensure functioning complaints and response mechanism, through effective collection of
complaints including field visits, management of beneficiaries’ hotline and complaints boxes.
