C. Presentation of the topic


The topic will be shown by the teacher which is about “ Use Parallel Structures”

D. Lesson Discussion
The teacher will proceed to discussion and giving definition of the topic.

PARALLEL is an adjective that means being everywhere equidistant.


Examples:

DIFFERENT FORMS OF PARALLEL STRUCTURE

A GERUND is the - ing form of a verb used as a subject or object in a sentence.

Example: Claire likes shopping, attending parties, and taking a nap in the afternoon.

An INFINITIVE looks like a verb but it begins with “to + verb”.

Example: There was no opportunity to explain my situation, to settle things, and to ask for
forgiveness.

An ADVERB is a word that modifies a verb, an adjective, another adverb, or even a whole
sentence. Adverbs often end in ly but some exactly the same as their adjective counterparts.

Example: Students were asked to do their assignments quickly, accurately, and thoroughly.

Directions: Once the teacher gives a question to a representative of each group. The
representative will answer the questions on his/her mind. When the teacher gives the Go
Signal, each representative should pass the answer on his/her members. Until the first row
gets the answer and be able to raise his/her hand to say it on the class. 1 point for every
correct answers, wrong answers are not counted and the other group can steal to answer.
