Welcome
This short guide aims to help you get the most from your ComAp controller and
its other documentation. The controllers covered within this guide include:
• InteliATS NT
• InteliLite NT
• InteliCompact NT
This diagram indicates where
this Start Here guide sits within
the range of documents that are
generally available for each
ComAp product.
5. LiteEdit guide
This is the starting point when programming InteliLite NT, InteliATS NT and
InteliCompact NT controllers. This guide provides detailed description of the
LiteEdit monitoring and configuration tool.
5 Initial settings
Use PC software to adjust the controller configuration. You may configure the
input and output functions, password protection levels, sensor
characteristics, language option, ECU, etc. Please see the relevant
information in the Reference Guide for your particular application.
5. Note: You can also gain access to the required manuals from the product
information page for each model.

(Configuration)
The controller’s firmware acts based on configuration values.
6. Once the file has been downloaded, run it to install all of the necessary
software tools (and the latest firmware files) onto your system.
7. Note: You can also gain access to the required software from the product
information page for each model.
Note: The controller and your computer can be switched on or off while
connecting or disconnecting the communication cable.
1 Use a suitable serial cable to connect the controller to a vacant serial or USB
port on your computer. If they are not already switched on, power up the
controller and/or your computer.
2 Run LiteEdit or InteliMonitor as required (for firmware updates, use LiteEdit
as appropriate to your controller) and initiate a connection:
• LiteEdit – Click “Connection” and choose “Open direct…“. Choose the
COM port which the serial cable is connected to (usually COM1). Choose
the controller address (usually 1) and click the “OK” button.
• InteliMonitor – Choose “Quick-connect to controller” and ensure that
the “Direct” option is selected. Choose the COM port which the serial
cable is connected to (usually COM1). Select the controller address
(address 1 is the default) and enter a password for the controller (0 is the
default). Click the “Open connection” button.
3 A connection will be established using the chosen settings. You can now
carry out a variety of tasks such as using LiteEdit to upgrade the controller
firmware, as discussed in one of the next sections.
4. The upload will commence and a popup message will be displayed once the
process is complete. Click the “OK” button to acknowledge.
