RESEARCH IDENTIFY EXAMPLES OF WHAT RESEARCH WAS UNDERTAKEN

FOR YOUR TV ADVERT. INCLUDE BOTH PRIMARY AND
SECONDARY RESEARCH EXAMPLES.

I used both Secondary and Primary research. With Primary

research I created surveys and sent them out to people for
them to complete and this improved why advert, because
people gave me important tips and ideas.

With Secondary research I looked up other fragrance adverts to

see how they were created, but to also learn about the best
angles for recording. This was helpful as it made my product
more eye catching for the viewers, and they then have a better
image of the product in action.

PLANNING IDENTIFY EXAMPLES OF WHAT PLANNING WAS UNDERTAKEN

FOR YOUR TV ADVERT. THIS MIGHT INCLUDE SCRIPTS,
STORYBOARDS, LOCATION RECCES ETC.

I used all types of planning for example, I included scripts,

storyboards, location recces, production schedules, call sheets,
contingency plans and risk assessments. Even though I ended
up changing my ideas, I kept the original layout of all my
planning as it showed I had planned out what we wanted to
accomplish.

When changing my idea, we decided to plan out a different

layout for or new product advertisement. I showed a bit about
the product, and I wrote about the fact we changed our ideas. It
was easier to show a different change then to just demolish the
whole website and start again.

TEAM PLAYER IDENTIFY A PERSONAL EXAMPLE OF HOW YOU WERE AN

EFFECTIVE TEAM PLAYER ON THE TV ADVERT PRODUCTION.

After changing our idea, I became a strong, confident team

player that was full of ideas and opinions. So, we decided to put
both our ideas together and create a fragrance focused advert,
and not add some weird storyline. We thought it would look
more like a fragrance advert if we focused on the product itself
instead of focusing on the person.

In the first team project I wasn’t involved as much as I was in

the second project so, it felt nice to explain and expand my
ideas to my partner. We also understood and listened to each
other and ended up making a great advert.
PROBLEM SOLVING IDENTIFY A PROBLEM WHICH YOU HAD TO SOLVE REGARDING
YOUR TV ADVERT. THIS MIGHT INCLUDE SOMETHING WHICH
HAPPENED IN PRE-PRODUCTION, PRODUCTION OR POST-
PRODUCTION. HOW DID YOU SOLVE THE PROBLEM?

We didn’t take many behind the scenes pictures of our second

project as we were more focused on getting the advert finished.
So, we decided to fix the problem with taking pictures of the
product by itself and show it in different shades and different
colours.

Apart from not taking pictures there wasn’t many problems we

faced as it was a straightforward planning schedule we
produced.

OWNERSHIP IDENTIFY AN EXAMPLE OF HOW YOU ACTED INDEPENDENTLY

OR RESOURCEFULLY ON YOUR TV ADVERT PRODUCTION.

I came up with some of the ideas that are shown in the advert.
My ideas were to add cotton wool to the video to make it look
like it was floating in the clouds. This made the advert look
more like a cloud advert and the cotton wool added more depth
and style, which showed that I had creativity.

I also had the idea of show the product in different colours on

the turntable. To expand on my idea, when it came to editing, I
edited to fragrance and managed to transition it from blue to
pink, which showed that it was changing to a different person.

LEARN AND IMPROVE IDENTIFY AT LEAST ONE THING YOU HAVE LEARNED ON YOUR
TV ADVERT PRODUCTION AND AT LEAST ONE THING YOU
HAVE IMPROVED UPON. THIS MIGHT BE TECHNICAL,
COMMUNICATIVE, ACADEMIC etc.

I have learned how to create a background with a green screen

and when you edit the video you just delete the green out of the
background and add your own picture behind. This was helpful
as I wanted to add clouds in the back, but I didn’t know how to
until I did a tutorial on how to get rid of the green.

We made sure that the green screen didn’t reflect on the bottle
so, we tried to hide it Infront of us so that it didn’t pick up the
green from the background. Unfortunately, it happened in some
of the clips, and this does show up in the advert.

MEET DEADLINES HOW SUCCESSFUL WERE YOU IN MEETING SPECIFIC

DEADLINES FOR THE TV ADVERT PRODUCTION. THIS WILL
INCLUDE DEADLINES SET FOR PRE-PRODUCTION,
PRODUCTION AND POST-PRODUCTION.

In my opinion, I believe I was successful in meeting deadlines

as I would complete my work in and out of college, to make
sure that everything was completed in time. This also helped
me to complete other work that had to be handed in around the
same time.
Be as detailed as you can with all sections of this task.

You can complete the work on this document, but ensure that you upload this
to your Professional Practice page on Weebly when completed.

Evidence required for the RESEARCH and PLANNING sections should be

clearly visible on your TV ADVERT page on Weebly.

Upload a link to your Weebly Professional Practice page on a Word document

to the submission folder on Moodle (in the Professional Practice folder) once
completed.
