Which among the countries we have studied would you to choose to go to and teach, if you are given a

chance? Please agree among yourselves where you would choose to teach. Give at least five (5) reasons
for your choice.

- If we had the option of choosing a country in which to teach, we would choose the Philippines
because:

1. Teachers are one of the most important aspects of any person's life, so we want to teach
Filipinos because they live in the same country as us.

2. Because we want to be able to help them learn and develop our talent and skills as future
teachers.

3.Because we want to be among those who, as future teachers, provide the power of education
to the youth of the Philippines when the time comes when we are teachers and ready to teach,
thereby providing them with the opportunity for a better future.

4. As future educators, we want to give kids in the Philippines the opportunity to develop a
strong sense of creativity, a high sense of self-esteem, and a lifetime respect for learning.

5. Most significantly, we hope to hasten education reform in the Philippines by cultivating

leaders who have a thorough understanding of the public school system as well as the
motivation and commitment to effect constructive and lasting change.

How are teachers respected compared to other professionals? To which profession can you compare
teaching in terms of the respect that the general public give? (Collated answer of the 5 interviewees)

-The teaching profession has average prestige and social standing when compared to other professions.
Teachers are considered less prestigious than physicians, attorneys, and engineers, but have higher
social standing than police, bank tellers, and social workers. Teachers are respected since they are the
ones who taught youngsters correct good behavior because they set a good example with their acts,
particularly while they are teaching their students. Teachers are honorable people because they are the
ones who develop people who can solve tomorrow's problems. Even though a teacher had retired,
students who remember them still address them as Ma'am or Sir instead of their first name. Teachers
are valued because they teach children from the very beginning of their education till they choose their
own career. I really shouldn't compare the admiration they receive, either, because each person
respects someone differently.

Teachers are respected by means o knowing them that they are the ones who taught children a proper
good behavior because they set as a good role model of their actions especially that they are teaching
their students. Teachers are noble ones as they are the one who produces a person who can provide a
solution for the next pressing issues. Even retired teachers, their students who remembered them still
call them by using Ma'am or Sir rather than their first name. Teachers are respected because they are
the ones that teaches the child from the very beginning of education until a child decides their own
path. I wouldn't compare the respect that they receive either, because each individual people gives their
respect to someone who they think deserves it.

As a parent, would you encourage your children to become teachers? (Collated answer of the 5
interviewees)

- Teachers have a significant role in the community, and it is important to emphasize the
significance of teachers in our country. For me I will not encourage my children to become a
teacher, since I feel what matters is our children's desire to pursue their own interests. I respect
and cherish teachers as a parent, and I would never encourage my children to become teachers
simply because I want them to. I want them to know what they want to do with their lives,
whether it's to become teachers or something else. I wouldn't want to force my kids to do
something they don't want to do.I would encourage them to become teachers because it shows
that they have a thorough understanding of what a teacher means to communities.

Teacher play an important role in the community, to promote how important teachers in our society.
No, as I believe that what matters is the wants of our children to pursue their own. As a parent I respect
and value teachers, I wouldn't dare to encourage my children to become teachers just because I want
them to be one. I want them to know what they want may it be to become a teacher or something else.
I wouldn't want to push my children to something they don't like. If they want to become a teacher I
would support them because that means that they have fully understand what a teacher means to the
society.
you rate the level of respect that children give to their teachers Justify your answer. (Collated answer of
the 5 interviewees) :

- I believe it belongs at level 10 because I can see how much respect students have for their
teachers, who are the ones who teach them everything they need to know. The students
respect for the teachers is based on how they establish the norms and expectations in the
classroom on the first day of class. Learners' attitudes about their teachers are influenced by
classroom management and teacher delivery of lectures. Students can show their consideration
for their teachers by obeying their instructions in the class.

In your own opinion, are teacher well-compensated in terms of their salaries? Why? (Collated
answer of the 5 interviewees)*

No, I believe that they do not deserve the compensation they are receiving. Teachers salary is too low
and the government must put a hike to thelr payment. Teachers tend to work beyond the working hours
just to finish the paper works and lessons and being a teacher is not easy, so teacher's salary should
need have a high salary because they struggled to teach their students. But If teachers are well provided
with all the teaching materials that they need think I can say that they are well compensated.

Should teachers be paid according to the performance of their students? Why? (Collated answer of the 5
interviewees)*

Yes, I believe that through the performance of the students, you can see how effective the teacher is. It
will give teacher reflection on how they teach students, how they do their part in our society. It will also
prove their competence and effectiveness in making students learn and become well educated
individual with knowledge and skills that will make them professional someday.

Do you think that teachers are good in teaching their students? (Collated answer of the 5 interviewees)

For me yes, they are not just good but best on what they do. They took time on making lessons at night
and deal with their students different attitudes at day. And they still managed to teach and make their
student understand the lessons. can say if teacher's are not good in teaching, student's will not gain
knowledge or will not able to learn some good things, so I believe teacher's are good at teaching also
because teacher's are the reason's why some people are successful. As we see teachers are doing their
best and working hard to instill to students mind the lessons and learning each day. They are trying to
help student to cultivate learnings and understanding especially amidst with the new normal set up
where students are in. They extended their patience and determination to guarantee and assure that
student will gradually learn.
Do you believe that teachers are important in effecting change in our society? (Collated answer of the 5
interviewees)

Yes, teachers play a vital role in producing world-class students who are living proof. Teacher's greatest
contribution is for the progress of our economy and sustainability of Our manpower in our society. No
other professionals are practicing their profession without their teachers who help them reach their
dreams. They are a mentor, a parent, a friend, and more which makes all the difference in one's life.
Teachers are the ones who molds the students in becoming the person that they want to be. One single
teacher can make a great difference in every classroom also in our society.

What message do these data convey: 1) 2/3 of the countries judged the professional status of teachers
most similar to social workers? Explain your answer.

There is no international consensus on what constitutes a comparative profession for teaching, but two
thirds of countries judged the social status of teachers to be most similar to social workers. Although
teaching and social work were once considered traditional women's careers, the two professions have
both some other similarities and some differences. Teachers teach subjects ranging from basic literacy
and math skills to postgraduate topics in general areas such as social sciences or specialized areas such
as medicine, astronomy or business. Soclal workers provide either direct service or clinical primarily
mental health services. Social work makes for an incredibly fulfilling yet emotionally taxing career
choice. Professionals enter challenging work environments to aid people facing uphill battles and often
find themselves helping with crisis situations, such as mental health or abuse emergencies

setting? Yes? No? Explain your answer.

No, there are no studies which prove that Filipino students disrespects their teacher. Although student
attitudes in European countries, with respondents believing more pupils disrespected their teachers
than respected them. On the other hand, Filipino students consider teachers as their second parents or
classroom friend they treat them well especially if the teacher is to kind and understanding. Students
are very close to their teachers they even make jokes to each other showing their closeness as well as
respect to each other.

to become teachers. Would you do the same thing to your younger sister or brother? Why? Why not?

No, because for us, no childrens have their own dreams we should go through there. Their happiness is
our happiness too, as long as we lived in this world the love and care must always feel it into our childs.
