Part II.
A. Knowing how to distinguish fact from
opinion and a judgement can help you to
verify and choose the sources you include
in doing your research.
In your own words, differentiate fact,
opinion and reasoned judgement.
There are difference between fact,
opinion and reasoned judgement. A fact is
a statement that can be proven true or
false while opinion is a statement of the
author’s feeling or point of view that
cannot be proven, and reasoned
judgement is a statement of the author’s
point of view that is supported by reason
and evidence.

B. “A good research question is essential to

guide your research paper, project or
thesis.”
Why do you think research questions are
necessary in conducting good research?
Explain briefly?

Research questions are necessary in

conducting good research. Research
question define an investigation. Aside
from it is more than a handy tool to the
research process, it was also the starting
point of a research. Everything flows from
the research question. It pinpoints exactly
what you want to find out and gives a
clear focus and purpose to your work. It
set boundaries, provide direction and act
as a frame of reference for assessing your
research or work. Furthermore, the most
important requirement for a good
research is a clear and concisely stated
research question.

REFLECTION

To further elaborate my knowledge about this topic,

I’ve learned that research question is very necessary
in conducting a good research. Aside from it was the
starting point of the study, everything flows from it.
I've also learned the difference between fact,
opinion and reasoned judgement. It says that facts
are objective and verifiable, while opinions are
subjective, and reasoned judgements are supported
by facts and verifiable data. It’s important to know
the difference between fact, opinion, and reasoned
judgement for the reason that it’ll help you to be
aware of the author’s purpose and choice of
language. Furthermore, knowing how to distinguish
these can help you to verify and choose the sources
you will include in doing your research.
